Rhule reverses course on McCaffrey

Said in his presser today that he now does not expect McCaffrey to play on Sunday.

That is great news all around. If he isn't 100%, don't put him out there again this year.

Thank god. With Moore and Samuel out they would have given him 40 touches, he'd end up back on IR after one game, just so the Panthers could struggle to beat the 4-8 Broncos and torpedo their top 10 draft pick.

McC not playing is good news. YGM playing is great news. He still needs to get some more reps to develop. I'm really high on him.

Regardless of whether this would impact our draft position. This is the right thing to do.  The quad injury is most likely because he hadn't been able to stretch or any other fitness activity to get himself into playing shape.

I am glad he's not playing because he wouldn't be effective and with Samuel and Moore out they definitely would have relied on him.

A blessing in disguise.

With the lack of weapons and the defense that Denver has.  I don't see how we pull it off.  I would imagine we'll stay competitive because their offense doesn't really scare anyone. 

I do believe we lose unless a couple of receivers step up.

I'm not even sure who our WRs are. Guess it will be a good evaluation game.

He is ahead of Hardy and Johnson in his development.  I expect by year 3, he will be around double digit sacks and stopping the run consistently.
