I honestly can't imagine any scenario where we keep Dalton next year. If we can somehow find a sucker to trade him to, dead cap will be $3.5m, otherwise a bit over 5, which we can do post June 1st to spread across a couple years. We'd be saving about $2M towards the cap in either scenario which is 100% well worth it as he is purely dead weight on the roster right now and that Bills game made clear we need to upgrade backup QB badly (sure that could come in the form of upgrading the starter and making Bryce backup, either way Dalton can't be in the plans next year). -

Joe Gilbert has done an amazing job with Ickey, Mays, and the shuffling of bodies. I remember, we fought so hard to keep Campen and Gilbert's group has looked way more prepared since he took over. -
