I feel like it's not a hundred percent certain he'll be back. He's decent but has been struggling to stay healthy.

Also, with regard to this weekend, still maybe on Christian McCaffrey but Rhule apparently isn't optimistic about Brian Burns playing.

At this point, they seriously need to shut CMC down! There's really nothing to be gained by him playing. I'd be a little surprised, if not pissed, if we see 22 on the field again this season.

I agree, but I think Rhule is between a rock and a hard place regarding CMC.  While I believe he would prefer to shut him down and save him for next year, he has to be very careful of what message he's sending the team.

If it's clear CMC's healthy, and still being shut down, it will send the message that Rhule has quit on the season.  This is why I think they have been stretching out his injuries longer than is necessary.  Sure, he probably has a minor leg injury, but I'd be willing to bet if we were in the playoff hunt, CMC would have been out there the last couple of weeks.  And while that might be ok for established contending teams that have a well-defined culture, it could be catastrophic for a young team and its new coach in trying to establish a culture of doing whatever it takes to win.

I fully expect Rhule will look for any reason to keep CMC off the field this week.  However, if nothing presents itself, and CMC is insistent on playing, he may have no choice but to play him.  But even if CMC does play, I expect a heavy rotation with Davis with limited touches for Christian.

If he couldn't win a starting spot with the competition this year, he probably never will. Sucks, he was a guy I thought could be a contributor. Fug, can we catch a break on the oline at some point.

He did win the starting job. Just couldn't stay healthy. Availability is an important trait but he managed to stay on the field most of last season so hopefully an offseason to recover will do him good. Certainly too early to write him off as a 6th round pick that significantly overachieved his drafted position when healthy. And he's making peanuts so no need to move on. Even a half season of competent play is a bargain at his salary.

He was an injury replacement and then couldn't stay healthy. He was on the bench when he could have been starting over the garbage we had at LG. If I remember correctly, he didn't last 1 game once named a starter due to injury.

He isn't writen off, he isn't healthy and shouldn't be relied upon. If he can turn it around, fantastic.

This blows.

Daley shined when he was on the field and I def think he could be a major piece of our OL, along with Moton moving forward. It's a shame that he couldn't stay on the field, bc when he did, I thought he looked like a starting calibre, young OL for us.

Hoping he can get past this and not fall into the bucket that so many other promising concussed NFL'ers do.
