Luke Kuechly Was Drafted #9

Let's start a campaign to convince the Panthers to never pick their best guy left on the board.

If they intend to take a OT. They should ignore their highest graded prospect. Take the second best OT on their board.

I mean. It doesn't matter anyway. So might as well pick a lower rated player...

Can I get a like from the OP?  This is what you argue for right....

How much difference was it last year just having the chargers ahead of us. While I think brown is a good pick, Herbert looks like a possible franchise changing pick. What a difference one spot can make. But hey great moral victory beating the WTF’s.

Stop putting facts in this thread. We just need dumb ass opinions instead. Winning useless games is always stupid regardless.

Please stop with the facts. They dont go round here. No facts allowed.

The facts would be the rule, not the exception. This argument is based off the exceptions.

I’m not sure what kind of argument can made on exceptions...

Actually you missed his point entirely. It was more pointing out that the year Mahomes and Watson were drafted, Trubisky went ahead of both of them...

The reality is we never had a shot at Lawrence and who will be the best out of the next 3 QBs in this upcoming draft is honestly just educated guess work. Lance has the best tools. Wilson has the accuracy. Fields has been the favorite. We will likely get one of them despite this.

So was Jamarcus Russell

So was Peyton Manning. This whole argument is stupid af, you can make any argument sound good using hand picked samples sizes. Yeah you can find a russel Wilson or Dak in the later rounds. No it isn’t as common as finding your franchise QB in the top 10. jfc this is stupid

Tell you what.  You make a list of franchise QBs taken in the top 10 for the last 10 years. I will make one with the other QBs taken in the top 10 for the last 10 years. Let's see which is more "common."

I think you missed the point entirely.

Because drafting is guessing, having the best regarded prospects available when you make the draft pick is of course preferable.

And everyone is talking about round 1. Forgetting all the other rounds.

Edit: auto correct, Samsung (totalt jävla värdelöst)

This is literally the only take that matters when it comes to drafting one of the QBs

We were never getting Lawrence, there's no guarantee the Jets even pick a QB at the 2 spot, so theres almost no scenario where we don't end up with either Justin Fields/Zach Wilson/Trey Lance if Rhule wants a QB in round 1.

Losing the equivalent of a high 2nd round or low 1st round pick in overall draft value by winning a meaningless late season game when we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs is well worth it for the moral victory. We didn't just lose draft position in the 1st round. We lost draft position with every single one of our picks today. For nothing.

Damn. Some people are really that dumb, aren't they?

Y’all really need to stop crying about stuff you can’t control. Players play to win. No one is going out there tanking.

    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
