After this win and losing out on a top 3 draft pick, it looks like Teddy Bridgewater will be the starter next year

Anyone outside of Lawrence and Wilson would probably need to sit for a year anyway. I was hoping for Wilson but that’s definitely out the window now. Lance and Fields definitely need time in the bench before they’d be ready.

I feel like that’s our plan with Teddy. I know he has limitations, but he will allow our rookie to sit and develop if we draft one. If Teddy looks good enough they can sit the whole year, if not they can come in later in the season. Then we are free of his contract with little salary cap issues.

With the 8th pick and if the top 4 QB's are off the board we could get TE Kyle Pitts Florida, OT Alex Leatherwood Alabama or how bout trading back a few spots from 8th acquiring more picks and draft captial and take QB Kyle Trask Florida! Teddy Pusswater is not the longterm solution!

4 teams interested in a QB picking ahead of the Panthers right now and maybe more depending on what happens next week. They had a golden chance to pick at 3 today, and they played their way out of it. That hurts. All the top QB prospects will likely be gone before the Panthers pick.

Has there ever been a draft where 4 QBs go in the top 8?  I understand being disappointed in them winning, but it's not the defense fault that Rivera started Haskins or special teams for recovering a muffed punt in the endzone for a TD.

I could see us giving up our second (and likely more) to Philly to leapfrog NYG and Detroit to get Lance...

So basically this win could at a minimum take away a minimum second rounder which is must needed for a rebuilding franchise, just to get to pick 6 when we could've been pick 3 to begin with.  But hey we get the honor of beating Dwayne Haskins to go 5-11 instead of 4-12. How cool is that?!

Also, going from pick 35 to 41 in the second round will be brutal if we don't end up moving that pick.  Seems like every year some really good prospects get poached from us at the beginning of day 2.

Maybe not the top 8 (I’d have to look) but 4 QBs went in the top 10 in 2018

Whoopee! The Panthers have won yet another meaningless late season game! This amazing win has killed what would have been a top 3 draft pick and the chance to draft a top QB prospect.

Now the Panthers will draft at the back end of the top 10, maybe out of the top 10 all together. Seems unlikely the team will draft a QB at that spot and the Panthers will have another season with Teddy Bridgewater at QB.

How does everyone feel about another season of Teddy Throwsavelt and his magic gloves? I’m so excited I might vomit!! Seriously, I want to blow my freaking chunks all over the TV screen right now! Can’t wait to watch Bridgewater next season!!!

We were one spot away from Herbert last year and now we’re many spots away from a QB that could have stepped in on day 1 and start over Bridgewater. Anyone after Wilson or Fields, like Trey Lance, would need a season on the bench.

Are you unhappy with the Brown pick?
