Early pulse check: Curtis won't take a hometown discount, what do we do?

Let's say we've already gotten the Moton situation under control in this hypothetical. Knowing that D.J. Will want to get paid the next season as well as 2021 being Robby's contract year, how should we handle Curtis?

I think that he will be gone unfortunately.

the good news is that Brady has done a lot to develop our receivers and can probably mold another player with similar measurables.

I agree, but it is worrying because Curt is a 4 year pro. A lot of what he's done is little savy veteran stuff. Not sure a rook can come in and replace him.

This is why I was on the Ja'Mar Chase train when we were at 3.

Robby Anderson is a one trick pony.  Samuel is a Swiss army knife.  The question shouldn't be if we pay Samuel, it should be do we pay Anderson in when he hits FA.  The simple answer is no, make that determination now and earmark his money towards Samuel this offseason.

Love Samuel and I feel vindicated that he turned out to be a good pro when we got an OC worth a damn, but he's gone. We'll probably draft someone like Chris Olave (if he declares) or Anthony Schwartz in the middle rounds to replace.

zero reason to keep him unless we can trade Robby without a hit (I don't know) and sign Curtis to less money than Robby was due.

CMC will be back, we can always take a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round, and we have much bigger needs like OL, LB, and DB to use that money towards.

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
