The one thing that gets me....

Are all these QB’s really that good or is it that so many teams are needing a QB that some of these “can’t miss/next HOF QB’s” are way over inflated hype?

History shows at least one of them should be good. Especially recent history

Hof level is another thing entirely. There's no way to gauge that until they play in the nfl imo .

I don't think anyone was projecting mahomes to be as good as he is. He went 10th and was looked at as a raw developmental project with a big arm . Trubisky was looked at as the more polished QB and look how that turned out .

The qbs that went later in that 2017 turned out to be alot better than the first one . Same thing could happen with this draft . Maybe Fields and Wilson will be good and Trevor will be a bust or just average . Who knows .

What is definitive about I doubt he will trade up? Or did you question he wanted to trade back last year which seems pretty well established.

Why would you say that he will run the draft? Nothing so far has indicated that he will be the GM. All public statements have been to the contrary.

The vision they seem to be after is a collaborative effort with the next GM hire. One we haven't made yet, hence my statement about the definitive "will."

We don't know that, unless you have a time machine that you are hoarding.

At 8 there will be plenty of QBs remaining that can be just as good of not better than Wilson in the NFL. Not trading away picks to move up 5 spots. Not having a first rounder next year would not be good. All of you saying you would be fine with this, would not be happy not having a first rounder next year. Especially when we can get the same thing staying in the spot we are now.

Rhule won't be the GM. But we don't even have a GM and the draft is 3 months away. Most of the prep work had been done and Rhule will have a big say in who we hire as GM. So why wouldn't he also have the majority say in personnel this season. That doesnt mean anything for the long term.

It doesn't take a time machine to look at how people act based on history and their personality and what folks say about them in order make inferences about what is likely to happen. Some of us do it for a living.

100% disagree. There are going to be a lot of teams gunning for that pick and a future 1st will be a bare minimum.

Denver, San Francisco, New England, Detroit, Washington, Chicago are all candidates to trade up, IMO. There are so many QB needy teams and this is a very, very valuable draft to snag a QB.

Most of those teams don’t have a top 10 pick this year. So sure, they could offer more picks, but teams will still find Detroit/ us as better trade partners as they wouldn’t fall so far in the draft. Should Detroit move on from Stafford, we’d actually be in a lot of trouble and would def need to offer the farm

You say this not having any idea what is even offered because this is an exercise in what ifs. So it isn't out of the realm of possibility that a team under us in the draft order decides to make them a better offer.

Those teams are all threats to move us if for no other reason than their interest may drive up the prospective price for those picks.

Okay, well why don't you break down how much of a percentage of his input for each of our free agent signings and draft picks from the 2020 offseason?

Since you do this for a living. Let's see who he was responsible for and who he wasn't. That isn't predicting the future, that is from the past, so this should be easy for you.
