Probably right, I was thinking matching star power.  We have those peices as well

I really expect Donte Jackson or Shaq to be the legitimate candidates.

if we are going after Watson, it would be dumb to offer an offensive asset.

Yeah good luck with that, u really think he knows we are interested. He is just saying us because everyone knows we need a qb

Aren’t you one of the ones that wanted to win for “winning culture” as well? Seems to be a theme. It’s like you guys want the team to be ass or something and have no hope.

Yeah look what losing cost eagles, but hey keep wanting to be a loser.

That would be awesome. Then we will just go without 2 1st round picks. And have no O line next season or CB’s. We literally have 1 of each under contract if that happens. Super bowl here we come!

If Watson comes here, it's going to be massively expensive. The 2022 and 2023 cap hits are $40 and $42 million. 2021 is a very nice numbered year ($15.9 million) but that balloon payment following is going to be an anchor tied around our necks as we swim into the next season.

Yeah, he's good but no one can take up a third of the salary cap and expect to see much of a team built up around them.

Question: How would you build this team if we traded 3 1st round picks for Watson (or 2 1st round picks and a very good player) along with very little cap (we still owe Teddy) no high draft picks, 1 returning starting O linemen in Paradis, 1 staring CB in Jackson who is in his final year, 1 starting quality LB in Shaq, etc.

    • Pretty sure Tepper wanted BY regardless of the coach. Unfortunately for Panthers fans. I am confident Reich did not want BY.
    • But they went with a smile… and some acid reflux.
    • Prediction? We likely lose.  Maybe look okay doing it.  It could be different with some turnovers coming to us.   In general I don’t have the same faith in what we will get from Andy that I had in the week three games of the two previous years.   I was very confident as to what we would see last year vs the Raiders and was validated.  The patchwork OL worries me, in pass pro, with him being old and creaky and not exactly being ‘cat like’ in his escapability. And somewhat concerned about his arm strength. I mean in general, I think he could still be ‘as good once as he ever was’ which is a huge upgrade from Bryce.   But it is still another year of aging and at some point it’s over… people say it is for him, I haven’t seen enough of him this season to say otherwise.  Add the fact that they are generally a more seasoned and tested team than we are, players to staff. I am skeptical. But that is why they play the games, we don’t know for sure.
