Teddy
2021 1st and third
2022 1st

I'm game

People really need to stop with this narrative that Teddy would be a part of the deal. These other NFL teams saw him play too.

God pity that PR person. Yeah, I know we traded Deshaun Watson, but allow me to introduce... TEDDY BRIDGEWATER!!!!

Surprised Jacksonville is not on that list.  Jacksonville could get an established and proven young star, and the Texans could draft Trevor L or whomever they please.

I think part of the deal to lure Urban Meyer(who will almost assuredly be a huge failure as an NFL head coach) was the opportunity to coach a guy like Lawrence.

Didn’t Houston trade a player and pick as a salary dump.... it isn’t to help them compete, they’d be taking on an nba style salary purge

Quite honestly, the play is less worrisome than the contract. Why would you trade for a guy that has that kind of contract? He HAS to be your starter or you just cut him, in which case....what was the purpose of even including him in the trade?

Yes but they literally already are going to have cap problems. The salary cap purge was with Cleveland and the Browns had such a huge amount of salary cap that they were more than willing to trade some dead cap space for a draft pick. If that Panthers had that luxury, I would do the same in a heartbeat.

Oh, look a list of teams in need of a QB! Who would have guessed?

Except for the Falcons, who are cap-strapped to Matty-boy they can't afford a QB; and the Raiders, who really don't need a QB as much as they need a WR and a couple O-linemen.

If the Raiders dump Carr we should absolutely bring him in.  Dude is legit.

Adding Deshaun Watson would give us a playoff team next season imo. Having an already trained and experienced QB with a high level of talent going against the Brees-less Saints, grandpa Brady a year older, and the pitiful Falcons = PLAYOFFS.

I’d personally frontload the cap hit in 2021-2023 and field a team that can make the playoffs, then when we have 1st rounders again, we go for a SB.

Sign Watson to a 10 year deal like Mahommes
