The Eagles Super Bowl changed people's perceptions of the team because they were simply winning. We now see that it was partly because of how weak the NFCEast has become, but also partly because they caught lightning in a bottle -- something powerful but short-lived.

We have to remember that the Eagles, for most of their history, have been the NFC's Jets. Lackluster performance on the field, long-suffering fans. And most importantly, a horrible management and ownership situation. (Remember even Andy Reid couldn't produce continuing success there, even with Donovan McNabb and a team of  high-dollar all-stars --  there was just too much suckatude from team management.)

I'll guess that the Eagles haven't so much collapsed as they have returned to their norm. And boy, this new HC sure seems to fit that bill.

Eric Bieniemy will get to be a head coach when some good team's head coach retires. And he will either build or maintain a dynasty there. Think New England, Seattle, Pittsburgh or Baltimore -- places with long-tenured coaches.

David Culley would beg to differ although you may not have realized he was African American. Hey, there was also a Muslim American hire, which I think is a first.

You really need to learn what you're talking about. He is Lebanese not African American there genius. You show exactly why America is racist. Oh he has a dark skin tone so he will do. He must be African American because he's a brownie.

How would he handle speaking in front of an entire team, in that case?

That's a different kettle of fish.

Put me infront of my 60 colleagues and I'll happily hold court.

Put me infront of 300 strangers and I'd be shaking like a leaf.

Funny thing is that these were prepared remarks. His game speeches obviously aren't going to be rehearsed (and just as well).

For my part, I guess I'd say with regard to both he and Dan Campbell that it's gonna matter a lot more whether they can coach than whether they can speak.

Guess we'll see how that works...

Umm what?

David Culley is most definitely not Lebanese. Saleh is of Lebanese descent though.

I’m not falling into a racist trap anymore. I only posted what reputable sites have said. There were two minority hires. I don’t care what they consider themselves, that’s their decision. I’m not replying on this anymore because it does no good. People make assumptions, I just want to chat about the Panthers and watch the Senior Bowl. Adios!

Did you even read what I wrote? I was defending you.

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
