A trade including Teddy Bridgewater may cost us!

For those of you who actually think things through before posting, let me just say that when considering the context of trade proposals, don't think of everything in a vacuum! Just like the Rams paid the Lions to take Jared Goff's contract, we might have to pay--to a lesser degree obviously--for someone to take Teddy's contract. I don't know who needed to hear this, but when you're considering the fine points of a trade, remember this! That is all!

Eh, not being funny, but I doubt any trade includes a 'swap' for Teddy.  It would be cheaper to keep him as the backup or cut him after June 1.

So in the Stafford trade, we offered a 1st, 5th and Teddy. Which pick was us "paying" for Teddy? the 5th?

The WFT offered a 1st, and a 3rd and nothing else....

Yeah it's kind of ridiculous when people think any team wants to pay Teddy 20 mill and act like were giving them some prize.

The real issue with Goff was the length remaining. There might be some of this with Teddy but his contract is only 2 more years. After this QB freakout shuffle Teddy's numbers will likely be relatively lower in the big picture.

I think so too. It's all relative. His contract was bad, but it's not prohibitively awful I don't think!
