Wentz update: Trade is close, with three teams involved

It would actually make some sense from the Texans perspective.

Even if you came away with a great pick package, you still traded away Deshaun Watson for draft picks. If you got another franchise quarterbacks in return though, that's different.

Mind you, Wentz is nowhere near as good as Watson right now, but he used to be. Your selling point then becomes that the change of scenery will allow him to be great again.

All that said, I'm not about to predict anything like that. It's plausible though.

All of these “reports” about a trade being close, almost sounds like the Eagles trying to drum up business.

I think that's spot on. There was another report this morning that they're disappointed in the offers they are getting. I think they're leaking, trying to get the interested teams to up their offers.

They want Stafford pricing for Goff product.

They don't really need to drum up interest if they've already got three teams bidding, and those teams are said to have pretty firm interest.

It does sound like the reason the trade isn't done yet though is because they're not happy with the offers those teams are making.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
