He must be upset once he realized he only going to get 40 million dollars total from the Panthers instead of the 60 million he planned, and that he may have to actually compete for a starting role rather than have it handed to him.

It isn't. The general statements made by the Panthers organization have made it pretty clear what the story is on Teddy. It's a matter of when and not if, it seems.
