Im not getting my hopes up, i learned better with this organization, but deshaun is worth 2-3 first rounders and cmc

Right ROFL

I love this though where else can you find comedy this gold in the modern era where comedy got killed by PC.

NY being the market it is in and of itself is enough reason for Watson to choose them over us.  The endorsement deals alone....

I think the cost is too high as it's been reported.

The NYC endorsement thing is kinda a myth. None of the top endorsement earners are NY athletes.

If you want to make a ton of money with endorsements, you need to win.

Besides, the taxes and living expenses would even that out anyway.

That is it really. What if we give up Burns, Chinn and 3 first rounders for Watson and then he gets hurt behind our porous line. Then we have a crappy offense and an even crappier defense and no first rounders for years. If the system is so great, then why do you need Watson to run it at the expense of decimating your defense?  And can a rookie come in and run the system by moving up in the draft giving up far less in compensation.

The Panthers organization has always been better than the Texans. I think both parties would take their chances.

Watson gets to come home(Clemson area, Georgia vacinity) with a franchise HEAVILY invested in his success AND he has more say this time. He'll be the new face of the franchise day one. In a huge way regionally and nationally.

Panthers again become relevant like when Cam was here instead of irrelevant with no jersey sales and a apathetic fan base.

This is the first well calculated move I've seen. I hope they pull it off.

Burns, Brown, and Chinn are untouchable in any proposed trade IMO. That's the future of our defense, don't destroy what could be great in a couple of years.

CMC?  Have at it. Somebody let me know the last time a "great" RB had any significant impact on a Super Bowl run.  Because there's about a decade+ of Leonard Fournette and LeGarrette Blount types being starting RBs on teams that win it all.

Also since we're reading social media tea leaves lately, CMC's Instagram story yesterday was a little odd

I hope Tepper doesn't turn into another meddling owner.

Does the new GM and Rhule really want to tie up their entire future into 1 player? It doesn't seem like a risk they would want to take.

Exactly.

Few people seem to understand that the Panthers will be like the Cowboys are "Football Team", making desperate and exaggerate trades for certain players.

Hopefully all this cap is being cleared up in order to pay a lot of draft picks to sort through.

Otherwise, Deshaun Watson will be crying on Twitter again in three years when he is in the exact same situation; just with the Panthers.

This. Cam did very well in Charlotte. Mahomes is doing very well in KC. You don't have to be in a major market anymore.

Hell, Baker Mayfield is in seemingly every commercial on TV these days and he's in fuging Cleveland.

    • You literally did it right there and didn't even remember it. Sorry long Friday.
    • TMac to finish up Feels good after pads came on. Physicality is a little different, playstyle is a little different. Refs let the players play, so he has to earn his stripes to get calls and just has to be better playing through contact. Focusing on staying confident and listening to coaches. Not much has changed for him, still trying to be his authentic self. Was asked about boxing practice he was seen doing. He's done that since he was a kid because his dad was a boxer and taught his siblings. Was the youngest and got beat up the most, but now he's the fourth of sixth children. Boxing helps with his cardio and being reactive with his hands to the ball + DB. Admits to struggling the first couple of days, hats off to the DB corps for making him better every single day but had his best day on Wednesday. Even the best get got. Just have to remain confident in preparation and abilities. Confidence will take you only so far, and that's where his resilience plays a factor. XL is authentic and great to have in the room. Can rely on him to be the same guy every day. They make each other better. Everybody feeds off of each other and when one person wins they all win. Happy to be a part of the receiver room. Was asked about how he was laughing harder than everybody else at XL getting his feet in the water off the back of the boat: "Man he needs to be stopped bro... He can't be serious but he was serious. It's all good." Playing against the increased amount of press he's facing in practice is helping him get more physical. His job is to catch the ball, so if it touches his hand he has to come down with it. Only catches with one hand if he needs to, but that gives the QB a bigger catch radius. Had a pregame routine where he did a 360 one-handed catch, but doesn't do it anymore. Working on being a pro: Getting into the facility early and getting treatment, eating better, etc. Just wants to win re: rookie goals. Anything he can do to help the team win. "I'm looking for to the season man and keep pounding."
    • DJ Wonnum up next Felt the defense came out ready to work at all levels and took over practice. New standard around here. Young guys have to know they're coming in to work. Last year was not the standard. Nic and Princely are fun. Different personalities but loves what they bring to the room. Sky is the limit for them. Nic sits next to Wonnum, Princeley sits next to Jones II. Allows them to be better mentors. Feels great and ready to go Incoom's athleticism allows him to bend and get low even to compensate for not being the biggest guy. Can set the edge. EDGE guys are helped when the ILBs can get home because it allows them to be a little more free while still in scheme. DB being back means his dominance is back. Can set the edge from the 3 or wherever he's at to make the runs bounce to the EDGE guys. Winning mentality and standard this year. Championship level from practice to how you live off of the field. Accept greatness and excellence with guys wanting to come to work every day. Not settling for anything less. Been in guys' shoes that are fighting for roster spots so he knows how to address them. Remembers not knowing what's next, especially as a rookie. Have a clear mind and ask the older guys a lot of questions. Has a good relationship already with Pat Jones II due to knowing each other and talking football all of the time. Can make hand gestures and know immediately what to adjust. Taking care of his body and excited to start the season. Getting it acclimated to football again by being able to tackle and bring players to the ground. Didn't know they were playing live tomorrow. Don't tell me it'll be "thud." Browns next week will allow them to hit somebody else and get a feel of what a different team is doing. Also allows the team to see where they're at on offense and defense. Ready to play football. Not worried about the QB matchup for Cleveland, going to play hard regardless of who is back there.
