I would definitely love this draft but the Lions offering their 2nd, 3rd, and 5th just to move up two spots in the 2nd round? Definitely not going to happen.  Also, Creed Humphrey isn't dropping to the 3rd round.

Also, the Chargers giving up 3 picks to move up 4 spots from 77 to 73 isn't happening either, even though the author says it's 11 spots. I think someone got into the brownies again...

I like this myself. What do you all say and we don't break the bank for years. I love Watson but I don't want to see us crippled either.

Do not want Lance. Every NDSU quarterback has been overvalued coming out. I believe the jury is still out on Wentz since his QB Coach, Frank Reich, left after a season in which Wentz was in the MVP conversation.

People seem to love Lance but I just don't see it. He was a one read guy at NDSU playing against overmatched competition with some athletic ability. If he were available in the 2nd or 3rd, I'd say go for it. But anyone not named Lawrence, Fields, or Wilson, I don't want in the first.

What other NDSU QB has their been aside from Wentz?

I like how it starts and the positional picks but I have no idea about anyone but Lance. I can't think of a year where I did less to look at prospects. Maybe we trade our draft away or go in like this to the draft. I literally have no idea this year.

I've read good things about Cosmi and Humphrey, but haven't seen either play. The others are mysteries to me. Although, Jordan at 77 is intriguing. The last TE from Miami we had did OK.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
