Like I said they have a perfect example they can look up at anytime to see what a shot arm looks like. Jake Delhomme 2009 season. I know Jake had issues with a different part of his arm but if you can't throw football you can't throw a football. There were definitely some rough spots but last year was 100% not an indicator he can't throw the ball. These people need to purchase the all-22 and educate themselves on that front

I also think you need to take in consideration the same baseball pitchers go through when coming off of shoulder surgery.  Usually the year they return they are not very effective but usually the following year they are much better.  I believe this will be the case with Cam.   He had some rough games last year.  He has some lousy receivers the Patriots pretty much put the whole offense on Cam.    That said it wasn't the only issue and Cam did have some lousy throws.

I believe with some real targets.  Cam is going to prove to Carolina and the rest of the league.  He's not washed up.

Brady wouldn't have won a Super Bowl with the players Cam was surrounded with on offense....maybe he would have made the playoffs, but that's a BIG maybe.

Pats defense wasn't anything to brag about either.

Pats defense was a top 10 defense this year....

Also, as for weapons... see Pats 2003-2006... the WR talent of those rosters were middling...

WRs were undrafted and 7th round picks. You had Deion Branch who was their big pick in the 2nd round never went over 450yards during those seasons....

So yeah... Brady won a super bowl with the same type of players Cam was surrounded by.

Not a knock on Cam, but a knock on your innaccurate post.

Are you saying D. Byrd who was basically their #1 receiver was as good as players Brady took to the super bowl?  Their receiving corps was no better than a practice squad team.   Brady would not have done any better with them.

Brady, as much as I hate to say it, is the GOAT at least in his era.  But he was wise to get out of NE when he did.  2020 in NE would not have been his greatest year.

That is also an excellent point. And I agree Cam was not good at times but the situation he was in was far from ideal. I was hoping Bill would be smart enough to give Cam another opportunity with a full offseason with his teammates/coaches/playbook. Pats also have $50+ million and a slew of draft picks including #15 overall to beef up their skill positions and front 7. There won't be any excuses left if he misses the playoffs or has a lousy year but I don't see how anyone who understands football can use last year to determine if Cam is still a good player or not with the circumstances he was in.

I am stating that the Brady went to the Super Bowl with minimal talent around him. In 2003 (Super Bowl win) their receivers only had 378 more yards recieving total compare to 2020.

No matter how much talent Cam has around, these people always make excuses for him. It's become a mute point for me because they are obviously just delusional or trolling at this point.

That was a completely different era of football back then. Tom Brady averaged 3500 yards and 25 TDs with a 62% completion  in those seasons. Not exactly far off from what Cam just did in 2020 with worse, yes worse weapons than a 2003-2006 era football team which wasn't quite yet the pass happy league it is now. And of course let's not forget the legendary defense the Pats had those years as well.

Happy for Cam. Hopefully they get him some weapons to succeed. And if they do end up drafting a qb he’s a great vet to teach the rook good work habits.

I hear about his hard working habits in the gym. But I have always wondered why it never translated to better fundamentals, better understanding of defenses and more accuracy. You would think if he worked at those as hard as he did the gym he would be further along after 10 years in the league. Not saying he isn't a hard worker but it seems not to translate equally among his skills.

And who was their running back compared to the 2020 running back.

I will not debate with you over this.  You really believe the talent on the 2020 team is equal to the 2003 team.   You are also talking two different era.  Many of the rules that are in place in today were not in place in 2003.   Many rules were changed in the past decade to increase scoring and limit defense.  So to compare 2003 and 2020 are not comparable.

I'm sure they'll say its the coaches fault.

What I believe is that Brady would have taken that 2020 team to the playoffs.
