In the court of public opinion settling would serve as an admission of guilt.

As we saw in the Richardson case, "confidential" settlements don't always remain that way.

Slippery slope settling is...

I think Richardson did alright !! Couple billy is not a bad punishment... playing I get it but in the other hand .. The WFT owner has some confidential settlements too ..

Third suit filed, and this one alleges forced oral sex...

Hoo boy...

Oh my...

Amazing that McNair is able to convince so many women to go public with salacious lies of this sort. The guy must have one helluva network.

We will see. Should be pretty easy for them to prove given all their talk of DMs and text messages.

Agree.  I was surprised they weren't included in the lawsuits.

I also want to know why police were never brought in ?   The 3rd accusation is surely criminal.

*This is not me saying victims are lying.  Just a few things that strike me as odd.

Yep. Far far safer option at this point. I was iffy on the price for Watson to begin with but this pretty much seals it baring some resolution where this was all made up and a hit job (doubtful).

After looking up this Buzbee guy, who's a failed Trumper mayoral candidate known for leveling baseless allegations to further his agenda, I'm going to assume this is targeted character assassination until he or his clients provide some receipts.

Think about it: Any reputable law firm in the country would represent these women if they have a case. Gloria Allred would be licking her chops if there was any proof of anything.

If Watson did any of this, he deserves to go down. I just think it's starting to sound a little too fantastical at this point, given the lawyer's connections to McNair, his politics and methods, and the timing of all of this stuff coming out right as trade talks pick up steam.

    • I like it, but really our future hinges on three very important and expensive things we really can't predict right now. 1. Bryce. He either is or isn't going to be the guy. We won't know until this coming season ends. If he puts us in the 10 wins category and continues to improve (that TD-INT ratio is the big tell there), he won't be cheap. But I don't think he's going to be getting anywhere near the bank breaking amounts, unless we see some kind of Drew Brees-type emergence. 2. Can Icky even come back to play? At all. LT, guard or RT. I sure hope he can and I'd love to see him at guard. If he can come back, though, he's looking at vet pay at whatever position. $10 million a year is probably what we're looking at if he has to change position, if he can still play LT then it gets very steep. We might end up looking at letting him hit to open market. 3. Taylor Moton. Love the guy and he's been the picture perfect Right Tackle. The question is will he want to keep doing this? He's getting long in the tooth but he's still a hell of a scrapper out there. If he wants to go and we really want him to stay, well that costs big bucks. While RTs are supposedly easier to replace than LTs, it's still a tough one for us.  And we won't know anything on this until after training camp and then season end. Dan Morgan's got a lot of stuff in the "still to be decided" bin on his desk.
    • In another post, Snow says about three years before you can properly grade a rookie class.  Sounds about right…
    • And this reiterates why I don’t want a Young contract extension. Please let us find another QB.
