If Russell Wilson was the focus of Buzbee's efforts think reactions would be different?!?

Ehhh probably. Reactions are probably based on the timing. As I said it is suspicious. Wilson has a better relationship with his city and team.

I think any high profile player who is disgruntled and has a public, dramatic beef with their franchise who all of a sudden has things like this conveniently come up at this time would get the some responses.

I would not classify Wilson in that category.

But there is a chance that despite the bad timing there isn’t anything related about it.

Bottom line is the details and outcome are more important and are what reactions should be based on more than the timing IMO.

I think it’s completely fine to say the timing is suspicious, but doesn’t mean I’ll completely disregard the situation. Just have to wait and see, and people absolutely hate that notion.

We get it, man. Watson lacks a couple of digits on his bank account for you to defend him.

Your fetish for staunchly defending billionaires is one of the odder things I've seen on the Huddle and that's quite the accomplisment.

Everyone deserves the presumption of innocence.

Among others this includes DW, the cops, Antonio Brown, DeAndre Baker (Huddle had him doing 20-to-Life), Britt Reid, any and all billionaires...

...even you.

The problem is the presumption of innocence is doled out very selectively around here...

That was me and I wanna be 100% clear, as I stated in that post, that it was a rumor not a fact. And i read that at the time of the trade, not recently.

Edited my post to make sure future readers know that its just a rumor and it was prior to the extension.

Certainly don't want people quoting you and running with fake news because of the telephone game.

To this day I haven't decided whether my wife really trusted me or was really testing me...

I'm lucky on that front. Lady Cowboy Fan loves to give massages and is very good at it.

Plus it's free and "embarrassment" is...not a problem.

Can we please ban this trash. Enough is enough. Totally annoying

Spoken like someone who's never been in a relationship in his life.

Just one notch on the maturity scale above a "you're a virgin" response to a random person you know nothing about. Yikes.

I specifically meant that you seem to have zero understanding of how a woman's mind operates. I mean, I've been with my wife for nearly 20 years now and I'd say I rate at about a 0.1 on a 10 scale on the matter myself so it's not exactly an insult.

    • And this is how the proverbial ‘window’ is created. You go 2 CONSECUTIVE drafts where you have to hit on your first 2 picks, but you also strike gold on a few later round guys as well. Over the course of a couple years, you’ve loaded the team up with 5+ studs (on rookie contracts) who raise the level of play of everyone around them. If there is a franchise QB in place already, a legacy is now possible.  The TIMING of hitting on the right kind of talent is crucial. Hitting on a stud here and there every few years actually HURTS the team. Just by their high level of play, the team may win 2+ games they had no business winning, and really screw up draft position. Now the team is stuck in draft purgatory, constantly missing out on a top 5 pick.  This team is close to having the must have spots filled. QB (controversial), LT (controversial), WR, center (TBD), edge, DT and corner. These are the spots the real contenders are deep at.  Draft teachable, high motor, healthy 5 star performers from top 15 schools who show up to play every Saturday and play like they actually love the game. Just imagine the boost that hitting on 2 stud edge guys AND an LT over the course of 2 years.  Stop this dumbass wasted 2nd round pick from eastern Idaho state tweener project safety who had 1 good year after coming back from a season ending knee injury, but he impressed at the combine…. And this is exactly what this draft was.
    • CRA, honestly I think you're giving other QBs too much credit. WRs bail out their QB more times than not in tight coverage. Yes, sometimes it's a perfectly placed ball that only the receiver can get to. But the receiver still has to make the play. QBs just give them a chance - trust factor. In that last game against ATL, Penix threw a lot of passes he had no business throwing. His recievers made play after play for him - that and our secondary had zero ball skills. That's normally how it goes.  Panthers rarely have guys running wide open through defenses, so most passes are contested due to tight coverage not necessarily bad ball placement. It was that way for most of Cam's career. That's why Darnold struggled so much. That's why things got difficult for Baker. That's the difference in Carolina. And that's why they chose TMac instead of an Edge.  Bryce was trying to wait on a guy to get open, or get in a position where he could throw them open. That, mixed with a bad oline, was why he struggled so much early and lost confidence. Difficult ask for a rookie QB. Hopefully he's figured it out going into his 3rd season.
    • That hasn't been the Steelers way. They just keep being above .500 while not being able to draft a QB and they won't do a mega deal it takes to get in position to draft a QB either. They have tried the duds that fall to them and are available to them in free agency but that's it. They don't reload either, just stay above .500 while not being close to contenders. It's crazy they can't lure a half decent QB in free agency because they are set up to win but nothing. This year they even took a swing at a toxic and washed Rogers. They just don't reload because it goes agaisnt what keeps them above .500 for so many years now. If they did then they would have to get rid of a lot more than an idiot WR to get into a position for a top QB next year. Wilson stank last year and they still won 10 games lol.
