A lot of Huddlers really took this thread to double down on being absolute garbage. 😞

I think convicting an innocent man until he's actually proven guilty is garbage, especially under these murky circumstances--before all the facts come out! I think that tacit support of rich, old and young good ol' boys who are suspect racists, effective misogynists and just generally a-holes is garbage! I think that when half the country or more, and a considerable amount of so-called Christians support presidential and congressional-level cads and liars is absolute garbage! Shall I go on?

Sorry man, this franchise’s recent history (see Richardson) makes this an impossible trade.

Unless these 6 women are proven to be lying, there is no way Tepper can bring him in as the face of the franchise.

It’s a civil court.  There are no jury.  There’s a reason why it’s civil.

Do you think that it's garbage to make this focus on the effects on a football team 's logistics and not the effects of assault on victims?

I’m aware. The burden of proof is much lower.

This means the truth will be extremely hard to come by and any team that employs Deshaun will have to live with this over their heads.

This is a panthers football forum dude. And this affects the panthers considering for months it’s been talked about we are actively trying to trade for him.  Should we just not discuss how that would affect a trade?

people that jump to conclusions and accuse the victims of lying immediately are poo heads. The majority of what I’ve seen (including what I’ve posted) are people talking poo about the lawyer and how erratic he is and others saying they will wait to pass judgement until more things are clear. Innocent until proven guilty type of mentality.

Civil courts are design to settle.  It will likely be cheaper for him to settle and just sweep the whole thing under the rug.  The main goal here is to destroy Watson’s image and cost him millions in endorsements.  Watson have to decide if he wants to lose $15-$20m in endorsements to prove his point and pay that asshole $5mm and he done with it or to fight it and likely lose $20-40mm in both endorsement, legal costs and likely game checks.

This is all by design.  100% this is orchestrated by McNair to destroy Watson’s image and bank account.  Smartest thing is to settle and get the duck out of Houston.

You have to make a choice here.  Either you believe these women or no.  If the texts are provided, that could help determine that but lets say they don't.  Do you believe them?

Either way, it's going to be a distraction.

Reading lawsuit treads always make me laugh.  I realize how little people know about the law in this country.

Like you? You just said there's no jury in civil trials, which is patently wrong. If a party requests a jury trial in a civil case, it generally has a right to one unless it is in a lesser court such as a magistrate court. You might check the Constitution, Seventh Amendment.

Yea, the party have to pay for jury too that’s why most civil cases have no jury.  There’s a reason it’s civil and not criminal.

McNair should walk across the street and bitch slap his neighbor lawyer cause he just cost him multiple first round picks.

Uneducatedly I think, McNair is the one pushing for this( no proof just pure speculation)..  Watson refusing to play for them and McNair refusing to trade him... forced McNair to get creative and play some real low life cards... I think this is if you won’t play for me you won’t play for anybody... What if Watson got #metooed would they be on the hook for his contract ? If allegations are true how much of the money can save on the cap and future guaranteed money.. and the main reason is McNair is setting this standard so that any future star player is wanting to demand out know that Texans wont play ball and you will sit while they figure the best legal ways to recoup any money’s that they might be legally owed or can void..

very insecure controversial and conspiracy take .. I am ape and no NFL journalist just a crazy random panther fan with too much time on his hands haha

This is foolishness. You're wrong again. Many states do not require parties to pay jury fees. Of those that do, the fee is typically minimal, and that minimal fee can be waived by application to the court.

Did you give Robert Kraft the benefit of the doubt in similar fashion?

Not when he was on video leaving an establishment known for human trafficking.

I have no issues with guys having a rub and tug from people that choose to do it. I do have issues with women being enslaved to perform it. Surely you see the difference.

You'd be well served to go back and re-examine the facts of the case as the truth is in diametric opposition of your "human trafficking" and "enslavement" assertions.

The rhetoric you are propagating is/was completely fabricated and was quickly proven as such.

@joemac, see what I mean?
