let’s say we miss on DWatson, RWilsons of the world

also we miss the opportunity to take the Top 4 QBs before #8 is on the clock

Lawence

Wilson

lance

Fields

Parsons

Sewell

Pitts

Are all gone

personally I see 13 players that can help this team one way or another in the top of the 1st round in the draft . with those 1st 7 gone .. I would like to trade back and acquire as many later pics as possible but no further then #13

so basically I would trade back a few spots and pick up an extra pick or 2

How far would you trade down ? Is my trade idea realistic ? and if so who is the most realistic trade back up option in that range

chargers

49er

giants

vikings

broncos

?????

What’s your trade down idea ?

If we miss out on a QB I really don't care what we do with the pick. Take bpa, trade back, whatever.

I doubt many teams will be looking to trade to 8 if all the qbs are gone. We can want to trade back all we want, but someone has to want to trade up.

My thought too. Who is left that a team is going to want to trade up to get? Slater/Sewell, Jones, Paye, Smith. I dont see a ton of game changer talent that would demand a trade up. Ideally trade down to the Pats at 15 so they can grab Jones and pick up a 2nd and a 4th. Take Darrisaw, maybe Friermuth in the 2nd or Humphrey if he falls with the extra 2nd, and a 3 tech DT with the extra 4th.

If all those players are gone... why is someone trading with us in the first place?

I think there's some good value at CB at 8.

maybe for Mac jones ? Maybe someone is targeting a CB in that range ? .. one of the OTs or Wrs ... plenty of reasons why but I guess it all depends on price .. how much should we get to drop from 8 to 15 with the pats ???? 2nd & 4th ?

There would lots of good talent left, you can draft a Slater for LT or a Chase as WR on a rookie deal. You would have Surtain, Farley, or Horn on the board at CB.  You attempt to move back and gather more picks. This draft is very deep with talent. If no trading partner you take highest player on your board.

Id stay put and draft Ja'Marr Chase and then automatically have the best WR group in the league. FYI both Anderson and Moore are FA at seasons end currently..

If that happens then we're looking at 3 potential pro-bowl WRs. I think we would have our sights on Chase, but a decent trade offer from a WR hungry team would do the trick. Which team would want to trade? The Patriots are at the 15 pick, so not too far from us, and they have trash at WR. Straight trash. If the Pats have a strong desire to be able to pick from Chase, Waddle, and Smith, then they might call us. If they stay put then they will watch all 3 WRs disappear in front of them.

With Joe Brady calling the plays having a 3rd string WR like chase would not be a bad thang ..

    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
    • The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard. The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.
