Not technically just Mac Jones pro day though. It's Alabama's pro day.

May not be the GM or head coach, but I have a hard time believing we don't have somebody there for that.

Surtain, Dickerson, Barmore, Leatherwood are specific players we should be there to watch

I don't think it's been confirmed that they're not there.

It just hasn't been confirmed that they are there.

Certainly hope they are...like I said, weird.

That said, wonder if they are overthinking it...."If we aren't there to see Mac, maybe nobody will think we are interested".

LOL.

I think Mac Jones is very alive at 8 probably the most smartest and accurate QB in this draft he could be the one we target since right after the pro bowl rhule came out and said we weren’t interested in him what better way to start the game of the draft.

Saw Jones workout.   Just like I thought.. Good on short and intermediate throws.  But the arm strength thing is a problem.. WR slowing up to catch the deep ball one fell down reaching a deep pass under thrown.. Players can look real smart throwing against air with planned routes... Looks okay coming from out of center thoe.  Not so good athletically...  Came away seeing what I thought I would see.  Average QB talent with no WOW potential.. Might as well keep Teddy if we're drafting him..

    • Canales is clearly tied to Bryce at this point.  I think that's hard to deny.   I would say Morgan now is as well.  I don't think Tepper is an anything guy.  He is a get me winning team guy.  And now he is simply stuck where he knows reasonable time is now PR for his future hires.  and I think Tepper did what every single owner would do with Bryce.  I think the move to #1 was Tepper.    He listened to the people he hired to do the job and they sold him on Bryce.  So Bryce it was.  He listened to the GM office.
    • Nijman would be one of the worst RT or LT's we have had in a long time. He is incapable of being a long term replacement. He is occasionally okay in spot duty. We had a significantly better backup suited to taking over the duties at RT/LT for longer stretches and not becoming a turnstile(like Nijman) in pass protection, it was BC. He is gone, however. I think any thoughts of jettisoning Moton are immediately null and void with Ikey out for 2026. Had you returned Ikey, Lewis, and Hunt it's easy to spend some money or draft capital at C and then perhaps look at cheaper options for RT. Now we are inna scenario where we cannot be looking at two replacement OT's in the same offseason. That will be somewhere between an utter disaster to prohibitively expensive.  The best course of action is try to get a solid, older veteran on a one year deal to replace Ikey, sign/draft a long term C and hopefully find a future RT prospect(with some LT ability?) in the draft. This gives you a LOT of flexibility and leeway in 2027 if you opt to jettison Ikey or Moton.
    • Remember that Coker isn't actually a free agent at all. He is an ERFA which means we can technically ink at league minimum and he cannot negotiate with other teams.
