Folks, I think the ship has sailed. We were all in on Watson and then the unthinkable happened. Meanwhile, other organizations had already moved on and were working on other plans. It's time for us to do the same and I doubt the answer is coming in 2021.

On to 2022...

My opinion is Tepper still wants Watson and is going to wait this out even if it means going another season with Teddy or another fill in QB.

Defense is looking promising and hopefully we'll build a good offensive line and run with what we have. When the smoke clears on Watson, if he doesn't go to jail, we'll make that trade.

I feel that. Who's the QB?

Bro, let this poo play out there's a ton of time for anything to happen. This could be the catalyst to us getting Fields at 5 giving up only an extra 1st round pick next year...

1. Lawrence

2. Wilson

3. Lance

4. Sewell (best player in the draft not named Lawrence and it's not close, he's just not a QB)

5. Fields

The options are evaporating rapidly. We were all in on Watson and it blew up in our face. I don't necessarily blame us, who could have predicted that? But, this is why you don't go all in on one option when there's so many factors involved completely beyond your control.

Also, could be the catalyst to getting Watson relatively cheap if he's cleared in the next 3-6 months (which is definitely a possibility, maybe unlikely but possible). Several teams removing themselves from the running for Watson with recent moves...

We're still in the licking our wounds phase of the picking up the pieces of our plan while other teams are actually implementing theirs. All I'm saying is that it's looking more and more like we don't find the long-term answer at QB this year and the half-ass bandaid approach can't be tried again. Swing a hail Mary for this year or it's onto '22

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
