I see this said all the time and it's still not realistic.

Who is going to trade up and why?  You only go up that high if you're chasing a QB.  If there's a QB there, we're taking him.  If not, there is nothing to attract offers.  Trading down is a scenario generated by other teams, not by the Panthers.

If they were to draft Pitts, my hope would be for them to announce him as a WR.

I’m not saying he can’t play TE but he’s at his best when he’s lined up out wide. He’s a crazy special talent and at his size with his speed/footwork/route running he would be a dominate day 1 WR

Seems like these are the exact kind of guys who have been slipping down draft boards for the last 20 years and end up making the best NFL OTs. If Jordan Gross was to measure in today, everyone would be screaming he's an OG.

I'll take a elite feet with slightly subpar height and length over ideal high and length with subpar feet all day everyday.

      I think the biggest plus of the 4-3....is it is more manageable without the ideal players.  I think the 3-4 gets really bad when you lack the key players needed for it.  I mean, in reality to run a really good 3-4 you need a dominant NT.  And great LBs.  Running a 3-4 w/ JAGs at those spots is just.....pointless.

      Tmac and XL aren't stopping Renfrow from putting up a reception heavy comeback season.  Only person stopping him is AT being on the field too much.   I guess to an extent Canales too.   But Renfrow would get open quick for BY for an absurd amount of easy completions if they wanted to nickel and dime a D.  I still contend he is the best route runner and if you call the right plays....no one on this roster will get open easier.

      Because it is practice and they want to protect their own.  We would likely do the same if they, for example, blasted TMac after a catch. It's biased, but that's just how it is.  You only get mad on the receiving end.
