For some reason, that made me lol.  Seriously

if he hasn’t, that means the Tepper Rhule and now Fitterer brain trust have brought us Teddy Bridgewater AND Sam Darnold and a fourth year of losing

Pray for the best

Describe a situation that any new QB has entered that was worse.  The fit matters.  If this is a worse fit, laugh

David Carr

Josh Rosen had it pretty bad in Arizona. They had Fitzgerald, but that line was awful and Wilks wasn’t the best head coach for a rookie QB. He was also traded for a second rounder, but that story doesn’t have the ending many of us are hoping for...

It’s true, but it definitely matters who says it.

With all respect and not to be argumentative, why?  2 + 2 = 4 in any zip code or time zone.  If something is demonstrably true, does it matter if said by D, R, conservative, liberal, boomer or millennial?  Facts are facts and ‘they’ are pretty stubborn about it.

Anyway, I’ve probably strayed too close to the Tinderbox and I come to the Huddle exclusively for Panthers conversation.

Grace and peace to you.  My apology to anyone I may have offended unless you are an Atlanta Falcons fan.

Draft rumors saying panthers might trade down even if Sewell is available because they like other OTs. If a team like the chargers is willing to offer a load of picks to get him what do you do?  Horn and Darrisaw could still be available at that 13th pick.

    • The vast majority of mocks from the past week suggests Sadiq, then Freeling, McNeil-Warren, Cooper Jr   https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/teams/2026/carolina-panthers
    • Yup. Hopefully  Brandon adds some muscle this off-season but he'll probably be resting his shoulder for a while so I doubt it. Miles should probably be replaced but I don't think we find a better 4th option to be honest. So is it better to add depth along side williams and Coby or try to upgrade the 4/5 . I think adding depth will probably be more beneficial than trying to upgrade starters and bank on Brandon and Kons continuing development. I really don't think they are going to make the playoffs unfortunately. I think the big hole they put themselves in has exhausted them. They've been amazing since January 1 but I think it's come at a cost and their legs are gone.
    • The issue is the predictability of it all in a Bryce Young led offense. In 4th down attempts the Jets were at 41 and we were at 40. And we were 4th in conversation %. We were 25th in the league in 3rd down conversion because we faced so many 3rd and longs in part due to playcalling on 1st and 2nd down but more largely due to the limitations that cannot be overcome.  And people want us to spend another 1st rounder on WR as if it is going to magically give Bryce physical talent he will never possess. It's a shame we cut off our own nose just to put ourselves in this frustrating predicament.
