  • Changed a rule that will now force a loss of down if two passes are completed behind the line of scrimmage.

What the heck is this?

My guess is that if a QB throws a pass, then gets batted back by a defensive player, and the QB catches the ball back behind the line of scrimmage, he cannot throw it again.

I believe there was a Tom Brady pass that was completed exactly that way that facilitated the rule change.

Maybe I'm just being old school but I kind of like the traditional numbering system. It's kind of a way to differentiate college and the pros, and sort of a welcome to the big leagues thing for me. That said I'm guessing they need to new numbers so its not a huge deal at the end of the day.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
