It was extremely disappointing that coverage went to commercial before and after we pick.

But he's right.   I heard more about so called experts whining that we should have gotten someone else rather then focusing on Horn and his abilities.

Let's not kid ourselves.   If Horn were to go to Dallas,  they would be articles and stories everywhere about Horn.

Exactly.   I get it that we also need OL help,  but we were horrid last year on 3rd downs.   We filled one major need.

One of the Saints games we were literally like 11/13 (something like that) on giving up third downs.  I assumed other teams would convert every time they had the ball.  So the more I ponder the pick the more I’m good with it.  I had my eyes on a QB if one happened to fall, but oh well.  Our defense should be great if they keep progressing

We gave up a 2, 4 and 6 for Darnold.  I was never in the camp to draft Fields.   Despite not getting an OL to help Sam in round 1, the weapons we have around him are already better then what he ever had with NYJ.  I'm willing to see what we have in Sam while building a great defense bc of those 3rd down numbers.  A great D can be a QBs friend as well.

Field position, time clock management/possession, holding an opponent to 3 instead of 6 after a turnover just to name a few.

GTFOH...you said nothing about Horn to us and that you love this makes me nauseous.  Fuggin such a horrible move.  I cant even fuggin believe we sit there and take Horn.

Just because you didn't read it doesn't mean she didn't say it. Which she absolutely did.

Actually we beefed up our secondary to defend against Mike Evans, Michael Turner, Chris Godwin, Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones (if he isn’t traded) and now Kyle Pitts. Rhule said our biggest problem was not getting off the field on 3rd downs. Hopefully Horn gives us a fighting chance back there.

When your offense cant score touchdowns that keeps your defense on the field twice as long.

There are 11 other games on the schedule and you’re foolish if you don’t think Sean Payton doesn’t have a plan for his QB position.

Yes because all great franchises turned their losing teams around with a first round corner

    • I think i lurked a few years before joining in 2017. Probably during the 2015 season
    • https://nfltraderumors.co/2026-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/      Grade: B+ Best Pick: Sam Hecht Biggest Reach (consensus rank): Jackson Kuwatch (NR) It's easy to love what Carolina did. The Panthers traded four times but ended the draft with the same number of selections that they started with and in approximately the same ranges. They did not take a player ahead of the consensus until Kuwatch at No. 227, and it's easy to see how he fell through the cracks playing at Miami of Ohio. He's a high-end athlete, though, and has a chance to develop, which is a fine profile for a seventh-rounder. Freeling and Brazzell also checked the high-end athleticism upside boxes for the Panthers. Carolina let the board come to them in the first round and could have a long-term solution at left tackle, which is a hard position to fill. Brazzell slid because of some maturity concerns as well as the difficulty in projecting receivers from Tennessee's Mickey Mouse offense. At 6-4, 200 pounds and 4.37 in the 40, though, the upside is undeniable. On top of that, the landed three starters on Day 3. Normally that's a high and unrealistic bar, but Hecht and Wheatley were both firmly inside the top 100 on the consensus board and have paths to win starting competitions. Lee fits the scheme well and has some interesting traits as an outside corner. What stopped me from a full-out A grade is not loving the Hunter pick, though he does fill a need to replace DT A'Shawn Robinson. There were prospects at other needs positions I would have been more jazzed about. The Brazzell pick is also an interesting risk for a team that's still in building mode, even coming off an NFC South title. Still, I'm nitpicking
