Just hope we don’t get swept this series. This isn’t Nashville.

Yeah, we lucked out getting a very bad team in Nashville game 1.

We keep playing like poo and a sweep is likely to happen. Honestly thought game 1 was a must win for us. Now its a matter of do we lose in 4 games or 6 games

Damn! Vas stood on his head 6v5. But, Staal made a stellar play to steal the faceoff and let Ned get off the ice in the first place.

Agreed, but we are skilled enough it shouldn't take Staal having to make a great play like that for us to get it into their zone to get Ned off the ice.

This one is on Ned, he seems to be able to shake the soft goals off so on to game 2.  If we lose both games at home we are toast.

We definitely did not play like poo tonight. We just didn't take advantage of the opportunities in the first period and Ned let in a soft goal.

Intensity is up. Just have to finish. I know once we go EN they will bang one in to win. Have we had a single 6 on 5 goal all season?

I don’t remember which game, but did have one this season. Rod pulled the goalie a little early and it paid off.  I vividly remember Tripp commenting on the pull being early.

Carolina played better today than any game in the last 2+ weeks. Shots on goal, energy, movement. They just couldn't get anything past Vas.

Wanna be concerned about something? The power play.

Hopefully we get our act together because yes we have played good but not good enough. Nashville shouldn't have taken 5 games and now fatigue will be a factor. Need to really show up next game.

Yeah the power play is really concerning.  We were clicking most of the season, but it has been a struggle for about a month now.  I really do think we are making one pass too many on the PP.  When you've got the man advantage you gotta let em rip tater chip!

Yeah, we looked more like ourselves this game than any game against the Perdators.

Ned just had a bad moment at a crucial time and it really costs the Canes.

We have to put more than 1 up on the scoreboard though.  Vas is good...we have to be better.

Ice was a factor in that too. He second guessed himself and didn't get the proper traction to readjust to the post.

We need to practice vs Mrazek or Reimer. All of our good shot placements would have gone in vs. a smaller goalie like Ned or Saros. Its been too long since we faced something else.

Gotta get him to move, And it looks like they are still used to taking shots at a saros.... Mrazek is only a little bigger than Ned I know he isn't great but if your trying to emulate the size its got to be Reimer

    • I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.
    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
