And yet some.of his best throws I've seen of his are out of the pocket.

Something don't add up.

that's kind of what i was thinking as well, but i'm guessing that not all of them were home runs. considering the situation, it's not surprising that his stats weren't all that great there. I was honestly surprised not to see him mentioned a lot more because of how bad it was with the Jets.

Yup, what he’s known for, but I believe that is a year to year analysis, so last season doesn’t surprise me, it was horrific for Sam.

I was under the impression that Sam was good outside the pocket. One day he is good, the next day he is bad. No wonder I'm confuseded.

Here let me help you.

There is a separate article that gives you the best quarterback for every type of throw also (link is in the middle of the one posted above).

Spoiler: It's pretty much all Aaron Rodgers.

Could someone post a recap?  The OP failed to do so. I can't read, so somebody needs to tell me what the heck is going on. How will I ever know whether to be upset or not?

Also, you are crazy if you think I am going to click some rando link. That's how you get viruses.

I can only read in Spanish or Cantonese. A translation of said recap would be terrific.

haha the eagles got crushed in that.

not worried about Darnold's spot in it. When things broke down with the Jets they broke down all over. No way could you pin all that on him. Guy was running for his life and had no reliable hands to bail him out when he got in trouble (which was often because that line sucked and his receivers sucked).

When you watch tape on Darnold you just feel like he was trying to make too much happen without support or judgment. He needs to get better about not making things worse when they break down, alternatively the Jets did nothing to help the guy.

it was on his shoulders alone moreso than it should have been and that coaching staff really handcuffed and handicapped him a lot. i mean they were worse than shula.

    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
    • I think it's because we've had a player to hate on NO (Breese) and Atl (Ryan) while Tampa had Winston who was never really a threat or dislikable like the other 2
    • yeah. it was also reported that Brown was taking it light today because of oblique soreness. Sounds like the 2 of them were a bit too rough with each other for practice.
