Rhule will probably bring in someone like Haskins instead and try to turn him into the next great qb.

I get the joke, but I seriously doubt we try a 3rd reclamation project in a row.  If Sam doesn't pan out, we will be locked in on 2 routes: a proven vet or a rookie.  If Sam lingers and we don't perform, that's how Rhule & Fit will find their way out of town; but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt given the market this year (and I'm one who wanted fields).

If worse comes to worse, I'd rather they lock in for a top pick as I hear the QB class for 2022 will have a ton of options to choose from.

Getting a Vet will only keep the team in 8-8 (or in this case, 9-8 since it's now a 17-game season) purgatory.

Even with a so-so line that could be bottom quarter of the league, if Darnold doesn't produce with these weapons in Brady's offense, we're moving on just as quickly as we did with Bridgewater and drafting Rattler or Howell.

I agree this is a make or break year for Sam. He either proves he's a franchise quarterback or proves he is a backup quarterback. Im hopeful for the former.

So my theory of throwing all the money at Aaron Rodgers is still plausible.

Hmmm...If Mr. Discount Double-Check is available, I'd be down with that.

But he'd be the only Vet I'd want over trying to go for a high draft pick QB.

Some here want Watson but I don't think he'll ever escape that dark cloud he has on him even if (big IF) he resolves his legal issues.

Okay....I'm looking at the vids and I'm seeing him go through his progressions (quickly as the O-Line was sh-t but anyway).

I do not see this bullsh-t "Locking onto a receiver" like some were whining about.

What the hell, people?  @NiceDreams

People see what they want to see. He's not Justin Fields, therefore he sucks. Don't expect rationale around here.

It's not that he sucks, I think most simply believe Fields is more talented, and better overall for the team in the long run.

I would wager several hope to have their skepticism of Darnold and to some degree this coaching staff alleviated with a high level of play.

Darnold had all the clout coming out as a rookie, and he's just 23 so we will see.

With all the negativity Surrounding Sam right now, here are some Sam Darnold Highlights that will hopefully give you some hope that Sam will become the Franchise Quarterback many us believe that he is.

Every Video is from a specific game, not just a bunch of highlights jumbled together.

I tell you what... he can make all the throws! Even those deep outside timing routes that many QBs shy away from. And he kills the seam and skinny post.

Oh stop with the drama. Fans just want a franchise quarterback. Until we get a true answer about Sam this season other qb's will be discussed. This is no different than any other team in any other year. The issue is some folks just can't handle it if every fan isn't a robot mimicking everyone else.

Thanks for this.  These are great.  These highlights give me a lot of hope for Sams future here.  He shows very quick decision making, and a complete cannon for an arm.  Also, hes very decisive and accurate on the slants and quick in-cutting routes....something that will be very key with the types of players we have on this team.  I think the skys the limit for Sam and the offense in general this year.  Lets hope he can shake off all the bad habits and stink he got from Adam Gase and the Jets.

    • I honestly think XL will step up this year. Drafting another WR will be great for competition and I think his best days are ahead
    • Bryce has a horrible rookie year Huddle: poor guy needs an o line and some wr Panthers get him an o line and wr Half the huddle: man he sucks since he can't do anything without an o line or wr ( even tho all world mahomes looked mediocre with no o line and only a hof te and mediocre wr - even tho they've drafted a wr in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd and 1 in the 4th in the last 4 years)
    • The Panthers upgraded the offensive talent so that the PANTHERS could win football games. The offense now a ton of talent and DEPTH. Ask any coach/GM if they could have a dominating offense or defense which would they choose? Of the 2, it’s offense all day. Eagles don’t sniff the SB without Barkley. Home run hitter. 3 and out insurance policy. Defense stays fresh. It’s not the other way around. Far more games are won converting on thirds than stops on third. Dominating defenses are there to seal the deal.  2003 went from SB to suck from losing their WR1. 2005 was an almost. 2015 went from dominating to never again. Never a back to back winning season. Revolving door coaches. No true offensive depth and talent, EVER.  Now that the offense looks loaded, the same fans who pounded the table for #1 to get some DUDES again remind everyone how misused and cheated he was… well he was and everyone knows it. The coaching was bad. System. Talent…. Bad, except for a few players. Bad. Could he have developed in to a more complete player with better everything. Yes…. But good lord get over it. This is not righting the wrongs of the past because that is not possible. This is trying to win games in the NFL, the way everyone else is doing it.  Will BY throw for more yards and TDs this year than Cam did in 2015. Very likely. But so what. I hope he does. I hope all of Cam and Jakes records are obliterated one day because it will likely mean the Panthers are winning more football games. To feel otherwise is obtuse.  Defense was not and is not being ignored. What Dan and Dave have accomplished in 2 off seasons with the offense is nothing short of a miracle. They obviously know what a grown ass football player looks like. What logical reason is there that indicates they can’t/won’t do the same on defense.
