They also have people crying about the refs. Gotta love when a team gets absolutely dominated but just has to fall back onto the "bad refs" excuse. At least there were a few of them saying refs didn't lose them that though.

The Saints have NEVER been screwed over by the re....nevermind.

The best thing about this win:  If you want to know how to beat those "W-eating" QBs---just pressure him.  He was not really challenged vs. GB.  They won easily and he barely had to pass the ball. Even he thought he was "back".  So now, Peyton is not the QB genius he thought he was--he is only as good as his cheating and Drew Brees could carry him.  Like Billichick, Rivera, etc. some coaches are only as good as their QBs.  Take a coach like Joe Gibbs, however, who won titles without great QBs, and you have something.

I love the power of positive thinking:  saintlyn8:   Our punting looks good tho. Thats something.

Gibbs coached in a very different NFL. I think he'd find that particular approach difficult in today's game.

    • Boy that’s the truth. And just going to Rico last year his PFF scores were low IMO for the huge production.  Then I rewatched - plus some all 22 - and there were huge holes for him to run through. When the holes weren’t there guess who didn’t run all that far?
    • I like the reclamation project approach. Not sure the failure rate is any worse than a 1st round rookie.  Actually I like the throw the kitchen sink at it Reclamation, drafting, take every shot you have. Short of that ridiculousness of mortgaging your future for a serious long shot like Bryce.    Also, man up. Pro up. If you are a QB in that situation, a lame duck on your way out, the best thing you can do is be 100% the same as you were when things were the man. People will be watching.
    • That’s what I was afraid of. I know more than I should about that. Getting off that stuff is horrible, I hope he can come out of it okay.
