It's hard to know what to think at the moment. This is the "easy" part of the schedule but we have looked dominant defensively.

I don't think I see anyone left on the schedule that I really fear. That was something I wasn't expecting.

I'm with you, I think these kids can hang with any team I've seen play so far this season.

I think the biggest key will be remaining healthy. Being down two starting DB's hurts a lot. CMC was obviously a loss but I think the identity of this team is on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully Bouye can step up and fill in well for Horn. Glad we signed him.

Fantastic news. Sounds like it's just inflamed. I'm thinking that will probably keep him off IR and they'll see how he looks in a couple weeks. Maybe wishful thinking but I wonder if the extra rest from being a thursday night game keeps open the possibility he could return in week 5. I anticipate they'll be extra cautious cause you want McCaffrey good for the long haul but you have to wonder if our offense looks abysmal against the Cowboys, there might be some pressure to bring him back as soon as he feels up for it. Also disclaimer: this is not coming from any area of expertise as I don't know anything about sports medicine; just purely hopeful fan speculation.

very encouraging news as we all feared the worst.

Indeed it is encouraging news, but idk about everyone "fearing the worst".  Maybe I'm totally off, but when he jogged off the field and then they showed him walking back to the locker room later, (which they showed extensively) he didn't even have any sort of limp at all.  No change to his gait from what I could see.

Anyhow, great news!

I said it in an early post, but I’m pretty sure they just sat him after the first sign of any injury.

The injury may be very minor but he’s taken out of the game to prevent worse injury.

maybe the reason he was walking with his head down was more that he was disappointed that he was taken out of the game?

Week 2 made me a believer in the D.  Losing Horn is rough but I think we find a way to still be a dominant unit.

Darnold's 2nd half this week showed me he and the offense may be further than I hoped... I didn't expect him to command a half like he did this early. Thought he'd need to be brought along slower.  Trying to temper my excitement since it's only 3 games but damn.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
