I’m of Mexican descent, and those people have bastardized our food, culture and music, “dumbed it down”.  Ugh, we don’t use tortillas for everything, and I clearly don’t like mixing cuisines.  There are as many different regional foods in Mexico, as there are in this country, they couldn’t even get the one region they copy right.

Where I come from, there are farmers markets/roadside vegetable stands, on almost every day of the week….and we don’t overcook, nothing worse than limp, overcooked vegetables!

Totally agree!  Had some of the best good off a food truck in Ventura which was a fusion of Korean and Mexican food….so good!  In such a diverse state as CA, you get the opportunity to eat, and learn to cook different cuisines from the native people themselves.  You’d love to attend a tailgate at USC, you’d find lamb on a spit, Greek style, meat in every type of seasoning, our large Polynesian community cook some of the best food you’ve ever eaten, Italian, I’ve even made canard l’orange (half cooked at home, finished off at the TG) and of course, every region of Mexico.

After game….bacon wrapped hot dogs, tortas (Mexican sandwich) made with carne asada from the TG to carry into the game!

Oops, meant to quote Harbingers above!

“People have such a warped view of food culture. Don’t get me wrong some really good “Tex-Mex”, Italian American or Chinese American cuisine can be delicious. But to simply think that’s the native food of an entire country as a whole is mind boggling. Immigrant chefs fit the food to meet the very… bland or should we say unadventurous… palate of western people and over time it became, very wrongly, synonymous with the country of origin. But that is no where close to the food of many home countries and hardly anybody is willing to take a step outside their comfort zone and actually truly embrace real cultural food.”

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
