I read a couple of other stories. The only thing linking us and Watson is Joe "Sources Tell Me" Person. I suspect it's Watsons agent putting noise in stupid people ears.

Jeremy himself said this was coming from someone close to Tepper

You’re right but that’s not what I’m saying. We’ve seen players get 2nd and 3rd chances. If not more. It won’t stop. NFL and fans, the people just don’t want to see that player who committed the crime play again for the same team. Everyone is okay if he goes and play for a different team.

It depends on the player and the organization.  The NFL plays favorites for sure.  Do they want Watson in the League for the next 10-15 years?  Sure, but I think they want him going place that hasn't had their share of issues with this sort of thing in the past.  Our organization is the poster-child for sexual exploitation/abuse of women in the League.  Probably not the best look for Watson or the League.

Nah. Billionaires win by having the odds always unfairly stacked in their favor.

That's what I'm saying. They have unlimited chances, and practically unlimited leverage.

The Shark Tank is a good example of this on live TV. These guys on that show absolutely rob inventors blind, but it's their "best chance" to make something out of their products. And the guys on that show feign being conservative with their money, when they make these deals every single month without even blinking. It's pocket change to them, literally meaningless amounts of money. And they only have upside in the deals.

And I'm not here to say argue for or against that system. All I'm saying is the filthy rich don't "stay rich" because they take big risks. They take almost no risk, and have the ability do so almost endlessly, with only the ability to "hit the lottery" on the other end.

That's not what the Panthers have. The Panthers are more like mom and pop playing the state lottery in terms of what they can invest compared to a billionaire.

People have no concept of how much a billion is.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
