He didn't do much those first three games because the opposing QBs rarely looked to his side of the field. And it wasn't because he locked it down, but because they didn't have time to go through their reads.

Beyond that, you can't say someone is stepping up, which is the current tense of the word, when they aren't currently playing.

Whatever guy...thats your opinion.

Offense is actually looking decent outside drops and penalties ... Killing themselves.

Expecting a Darnold implosion in the 3rd quarter tho

ugh..I don't want that to happen.

Even if we lose, I would like to see some goddamn improvement in the 3rd quarter.

We also started playing better offenses... We've only played 2 decent offenses and both had huge games against us... And our D couldn't buy a stop in those games at critical moments.

Injuries have hurt us but we've invested a poo ton in D...  Shaq is big though so maybe his return will get that killer instinct back for the unit.

Offense is miserable... But I expect an elite defense to get stops at end of games and overtime.

You mean when Sam threw 2 picks in the 3rd quarter against Dallas. When we kept them to 14 points in the first half? Again this offense is killing the defense. you cannot expect a defense to be on the field this long and perform. The best defenses in history didn’t have offenses that were this bad.

we’ll see how they play against top offenses but I’m expecting our offense to be horrible and continue putting us in bad spots.

I thought for sure the slot WR was going to be running a slant inside, which meant just making sure the DE didn't drop into coverage.

When he floated out towards the sideline, my heart sank 😞

Were we out of timeouts? I saw the same thing you guys did, but I was thinking we’d already used all of our timeouts.

It's good to expect your offense to be horrible.

That way when they do something Good, you could faint with happiness and shock.

We had used up our final timeout during that point when Sam and the team were trying to run up to spike the ball and stop the clock to save the Timeout(but Rhule beat him to the punch).

What's the excuse for the defense giving up our lead special teams gave us?

I get that the league isn't the kind of place defense alone can win games anymore so I get this sounds nitpicky, but I'd like to see them get a couple more stops late in games. We seem to have real trouble against the rush.

Re: the offense, yes, it sucks. I have real concerns about the ability of this staff to evaluate talent on offense.

    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
    • They have all the rookies. The DC game has Ron though. With the new QB. It is weird.  pantherclaw, Bryce sort of is what he is, and in Madden he makes throws the real Bryce can’t make. Here and there. He ain’t ain’t a top QB in Madden though, lots of picks. aone of them lol was the throw that scares the hell out of me when he throws it, out to the boundary... quack quack.
