Speaking of Willis is it possible for us to get Patrick Willis out of retirement

I seen his retirement presser, said his toe would not allow him to continue playing. Expressed his dying want to play, but brought up his toe would not allow NFL games.

So cyborg toe maybe the way.....getting Luke maybe easily but seems he didnt have even Willis's want to play. Luke enjoys fishing and chilli while the panthers had 30 million in dead cap, thanks bro!

He is a game changer

He’s young enough to build around

he’s proven that last year with Arizona wasn’t an anomaly

I put him in a league with Judon (4 years 54 million) and Hendrickson (4 years 60 million)

given the salary cap jump, you’re likely looking at 4 years $68 million to get this deal done…. Would you do it?

It depends on the scheme. 3-4 he’s worth it. 4-3 we are better on spending money on a 4-3 DE type and a 4-3 LB group.

I think the tag is in play.

Unlike Burns, reddick is super physical. More than not Reddick will jar the OT thats trying to stop/block him.(If burns speed fails, its over for him). He can cover very well for a edge, he has a rare toolbox for sure.

Got to keep him, he has been the best defender on the team. Huge loss if he exits.

If reddick played for the pats, he could reach 20 sacks.

Again you can not lose him, tag him.

Another issue is I think he counts for around 7 million in dead cap space, no matter if plays for the panthers or not.

Big brain finesser got him on 5 year deal, with 4 voided years that all hit 2022.

Nothing. I let him go so I can use the money to go after better free agent Olinemen.

The most over-paid group in free agencay is OL. BY FAR.

ALL teams need OL bodies, mainly cause college suck for developing decent OL. So when a OL hits the market, 14 teams fight over him and drive the price to mars.....

Teams compete for any free agent worth a thing.

As much as a decent OLine is needed to make an offense work, starter caliber guys should be paid well. Now, doing what the Panthers did last offseason and overpaying Elf and Erving was dumb. They had been backups at best with injury issues. That was a mistake.

One final thought on free agents. Any free agent worth a thing will be an overpay for the Panthers due to how bad they have been in recent years.

Happens to OL the most, just the facts. Go look at the early contract signed over the last few years. They are filled with massive OL over-pays, cause thats what the market is. Last year a philly backup swing tackle got 5 years 55 millions.....I dont think he played over a few snaps the year before. Plenty more. I know the Center market got reset over and over by players that were in the mid-pack far as rankings. Any agent worth his salt would be wise to get his OL clients to the free agent market........then sit back and count the millions.

    • Umm yeah. When did he get it done at the right time? I seem to remember a 4-6 finish and needing Atlanta to win our way into the playoffs but whatever.
    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
