While you’re laughing, go look up Nagy’s record in Chicago with Trubisky at QB vs any other QB (including Fields).

Win-loss records are not a QB statistic. If they were then maybe your boy would have gotten a starting job this off-season, or would have had his 5th year option picked up.

This years super hyped rookie QB class has been very underwhelming in the games I’ve seen. There are a few wow throws in there, but overall meh.

That’s just how it is. Rookie QBs historically look bad some don’t even play and ride bench year 1. Recently for example…Allen, Murray, Mahomes, even Rodgers sat forever…Burrow and Jackson were underwhelming year one, everyone expects a Wilson like entrance that happens like once every 3-4 years.

It’s VERY VERY rare a rookie comes in a right away and lights it up. Especially because most go to poo teams. That means a lot, it’s no coincidence the rookie qb doing the best, also went last of the top 5 qbs, to the better team than any of them.

At least one if not two, maybe three  of the top four qbs other than Mac (who will probably always be good, not great in the future) are going to turn out good to great.

Difficult for Trubisky to do either when he’s the scapegoat for the coach/fans. All Nagy needed was his QB, they said. Foles came and proved worse than Mitch. Well then the narrative switched bc they have a ‘young franchise QB’ that will carry the team to success. Womp womp. He turned in a first year also worse than Trubisky. Maybe, just maybe, it’s Nagy’s terrible system combined with a bottom of the league skill position group.

Lets see what opportunities he gets this off-season. Whether you want to admit it or not, we would be a better team this year with Mitch than any of the QBs on our roster. It also wouldn’t have cost as much as we spent for terrible QB play. A long-term, high-end QB2 contract would have likely done it. Look where we are now and look at the Bears. Both suck and would’ve have been better off with Mitch.

Foles was a fraud too, but can you honestly say without UNC homer glasses on that Mitchell's play deserved a 24.8 million dollar 5th year option and/or a major contract extension?

My first post in the thread said that yes, Nagy's system sucks. But you're at the same time saying that Fields supposively sucks because his stats aren't good and they aren't winning? I also see little to no difference in how both QBs performed in their rookie year, not sure why you're categorizing that one was so much better than the other. If the expectation was that Fields was going to come in on day one an immediately elevate the team to a super bowl contender, that's just ridiculous. It was Nagy after all who signed Andy Dalton in the offseason and lauded Andy as his starter when healthy until it was clear that was a terrible idea. And yes, the Bears are better off paying Fields who has more upside and is on a rookie deal than Trubisky at 25 million plus.

Mitchell is better than Darnold and Walker I will concede that, although it isn't saying much. But I can't imagine that he would fare much better in Matt Rhule's poo system either.

Two seasons ago, Nagy was honored at Wrigley Field by singing Take me out to the ball game at the 7th inning stretch.

everyone knows how this song goes, he subtly said “penis” instead of “peanuts” and cracker jacks. You can find this video and watch it for yourself.

this was a huge red flag - it shows immaturity, a lack of respect, and it just isn’t funny. Big surprise he is about to be fired for being a loser.

All of them have potential that our QBs do not.

Potential is limited by the playbook.

Nick Foles won a Super Bowl over the Tom Brady Patriots.

Trubisky went to the post season with the Bears.

Fields is supposed to be a franchise QB.

None of those 3 facts look further from reality right now. And Matt Rhule is far worse than Nagy.

Just Fields and Sam Darnold are the same age, or close to it, I believe.

Sam would've been fine if the Panthers had resolved our OL issues. Instead we brought Darnold onto a team where our offensive line is worse than the Jets. What's that thing about the definition of insanity?

Fields is two years younger. Born on March 5, 1999.
Darnold was born on June 5, 1997.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
