If NO, SF, and PHI all win out, NO and PHI get the wildcards. Sean hates us, but he's not giving up a shot at the playoffs to drop us a few spots in the draft.

Think about that. Sean's a quality NFL coach and with the QB situation he's had this year, he's on the verge of the playoffs, presumably running the same offensive system that we can't get any of our QBs to look good with...

Part of my view is I don't know what the Saints did today.  I hope they won.

Don't tell me, I get the opportunity to watch it later today on Armed Forces Network.

It may be, but my point was that if GB beats Minnesota this week, I think they’ve got the bye because their last game is against Detroit. More of a I can’t see them losing to Detroit with a bye on the line.

So bugs: What percentage chance do we get pick 5 if we lose out?

Easy answer:

1. We lose out

2. Giants beat Chicago, gets us to 5

3. Jets win one of their last two and their SOS goes higher than ours by one game (right now on Tankathon we are both at .512

Harder to know:

4. Chicago either keeps their SOS above ours (they are at .516) or their win one more

5. Seattle does the same as Chicago (.514 SOS)

4 & 5 should happen as I think Chicago beats the Giants and Seattle beats Detroit this week. 1 has to happen. I don’t think 2 and 3 happen unless the Bills rest against the Jets or Washington decides to pack it in the last two games for draft slot.

U said Giants need to be Chicago tho???

Tankathon SOS is calculated on all 17 games, so we need the Jets non-common season opponents to start winning too.

Also, we apparently dropped to 7 and Seattle passed us.

    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
    • Dan's been talking about upgrading CB since beginning of free agency
    • I'm more of a Hornets fan than I am a Panthers fan, I've watched a ton of this franchise the last 20 years. I post all day on RealGM. Don't get your hopes up, this is setting us up for a 20 point loss to the Heat and a swift end to the season. Spoelstra has always solved us, the Heat have two bigs that we have no answers for, and Jaquez is a certified Hornets killer that always plays us like he has a grudge on us. The Hornets being a top 10 team all year and a top 5 team the last half of the year and then flat out missing the playoffs is incredibly on brand for this crappy, horrendous franchise. I would love to be proven wrong. But I've suffered enough to know this little scheme the team is pulling. We finished 2 games out of 6th and guaranteed playoffs, and we blew two games to the Pacers and Nets earlier in the season, when they weren't trying to win. It's just who we are, Hornets DNA
