Would a single person be upset if we traded down in the first and picked up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick, then used every pick on offensive linemen? I know I wouldn’t.

lol that was my plan last year along with half the board, I think. What do we know, I’m sure Erving, Elfein, Paradis, and john Miller can handle it.

Even if we beat the Bucs we aren't going lower than 6 based on current tiebreakers.

You realize SOS changes weekly right?

Both Minnesota and Arizona will probably win next week which doesn’t help our SOS. Beating the Bucs does add 2 more losses to the SOS. It’s all too close right now to know for sure if a win would keep us at 6

You want to trade down from 6 and only get a 2nd or 3rd in return?   You guys are nuts.

Agree. I would not trade down and miss out on a stud LT to just get two good players. At one point we need to get that LT.

Also trading down just because we have to recoup our picks from our earlier bad decision is terrible. That bad decision should not impact any future decisions.

If we get a crazy offer, e.g. two highish first rounders and a high second rounder, maybe. But take that stud LT and build from there.

    • I mean, I alluded to it when we signed him. It might be different if he was old and washed up, but he's not. Sickness and suffering will never ever allow you to be your best. Eclipse that and if one has the talent and inclination to thrive, the sky's the limit.
    • Renfrow makes the team and becomes part of the rotation-- then he plays well.  Gets NFL comeback player of the year.  You all cheer.  When I say, "I called this in June."  You will say "Pic or it didn't happen."  I will say, "you all disgust me because you are too mired in mediocrity to see my brilliance."  You will give me a poo emoji because that is how you treat greatness.   OK, I'm back.
    • I did a little research. I think that it's hard to say that we're a traditionally "small-market" team anymore. Technicalities aside, our fan base is certainly not as popular as some others (lots of fans from different fan bases can probably argue that though), but the Panthers do have a solid and committed following if you look at things like home attendance and---fascinatingly---social media digital presence (e.g., back in 2023 there were three million followers of the Panthers on Twitter, ranking them #5). It's just hard to get exact, up-to-date numbers because much of the relevant information is not forthcoming, but suffice it to say that winning changes things, even if temporarily. Even if the fan base is smaller, it certainly seems to make a lot of noise. We just need to win. On an off note, Tet McMillan has fairly strong rookie jersey sales. Between him, Bryce and Legette, maybe the fan base will grow a little.
