Fwiw, it could happen.  Draft a qb that turns into the next Tom Brady, then get extremely lucky with our late round picks that give us some good offensive linemen.  

But the odds aren't good.

Sam Darnold has never been good.  Not at USC.  Not in NY.  Not here.   He has always been the same dude.  Protection.  No protection.  Same consistent bad QB. 

what if we signed Dwayne Jarrett of the street after all these years  and he turned into prime 89??  We can ask all sorts of questions that aren’t going to happen.

Why would he turn it around? Matt Rhule couldn’t even beat ranked teams in college. Guy is a fraud. Panthers will be the worst team in the NFL under Rhule if he is kept a 3rd season. It’s obvious the guy is in over his head.

It's not going to happen.  Not to the standards that we should accept.   Anything less than playoffs next years is a failure.  So don't come in here if Rhule pulls off 7-8 wins and call that some sort of success.

Was viewing the game yesterday with Lady Cowboy Fan when we heard Matt Millen and his broadcast partner talk about believing in Rhule and saying that he deserved another year.

She laughed and asked what games these guys were watching.

Its funny because later in the game they brought up the Panthers terrible 3rd quarter performances.  And Matt Millen says something like "Well that's an indicator that whatever you're doing at halftime ain't working"
