I have a question and I want an answer, it isn't rhetorical.

What NFL position other than the Panthers head coach is Matt Rhule qualified for? Honestly, if he were to be fired today, is there another job he could take in the NFL?

Whatever Jack Ellerbe does for the Texans is what Rhule can do. Actually, Ellerbe is the best comparison to Rhule.

Got it!!

get back coach

we hire a really energetic and passionate coach and Rhule can be the “get back coach” to make sure he doesn’t run to far onto the field of play and get a penalty

None. He was an assistant OL coach in his one NFL season, but just look at this OL.

Whats an assistant OL coach do? Run errands for the actual OL coach? Make sure the pads are on the blocking sleds? Sounds like he gained some legit NFL experience doing that for the Giants for one season almost 10 years ago for a dinosaur HC

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
