Doesn't sound like QB in cards at 6

Don't be shocked if it's Kyle Hamilton they take at 6. Burris is a FA and that would allow them to move Chinn to the role he excelled at his rookie year.

With Rhule protecting Snow I wouldn't be shocked. As much as I like Kyle as a player, I would be pissed though. Our first rounder has to go to the offense. It's a good free agent class to grab a FS allowing Chinn to move to SS where he belongs

No I don't, but I also don't think that our GM is as clueless about the top prospects as is perhaps being suggested. No chance of that either.

Who said they're clueless? I am sure they have some top prospects in mind as potential fits. I seriously doubt they have watched enough tape on them to have a real opinion as to whether they want to draft them or not.

Panthers will trade down to the 11-15 range. 1st for 1st+2nd+4th/5th

Expect Ekwonu or Linderbaum to be the pick from there

We have 22 UFA, middle of the pack in salary cap space, are without a 2nd and 3rd round pick and we need a complete rebuild of the O-line

So yeah I could see a trade back being highly likely

Pretty funny when people who aren't on the inside speak with such conviction, particularly when the people on the inside aren't even sure yet. The draft is several months away. I don't think we can draw very many hard and fast conclusions at this point.

I don't want them to take a QB at 6 because I don't really think anyone in this class is worth it, but I am not going to sit here and rule it out right now because they could totally fall in love with one of the prospects between now and draft day.

Oh wow well if you have researched it!!

he’d be talking them up for trade value if he wanted another team to come up for one

he’d be talking them down if he was worried that another team may come up ahead of them-as happened when they demonstrated their public interest last year

All that comment implies by you making it is that you have your own personal and meaningless assessment of the QBs and are working your way back from there

”if I don’t like these guys, why would he? This must be what this means.”

I have yet to look at any QBs for your information. I wasn't talking to any draft, much less this one. I was speaking to the fact that teams don't wait until the last minute to start evaluating.

We weren't drafting a QB last year because we didn't have the juice or the will to make it happen, IDGAF what Fitterer or anyone else may have said, hinted--whatever. It wasn't going to happen, and, as it turns out, I'm glad that we weren't able to because I suspect they would have screwed the pooch.

Yeah, OK.

Close, I’m banking on a thumper at SS or a run stuffing DE.

In my dream scenario we draft 5 punters.

Actually Sauce Gardner looks like the truth. He arguably had better tape than Horn, and that's saying something. Never allowed a coverage TD in three seasons, and locked down  some of the nation's best

Rhule wants vet reclamation project bandaids and Fitts thinks he can find another Russ Wilson in the 3rd.

Either way, we're good and proper fuged.

Seahawks prob felt the same way in 2012 when they signed Flynn and failed to make a move for a guy like Tannehill…instead opting to draft defense and waiting for Wilson to fall.

That draft realistically had ONE can’t-miss QB. So the Seahawks were smart and signed a guy who could potentially be good (Flynn) and were patient in taking BPA. We need to do the same.

Sam Howell didn’t have a great year. Desmond Ritter and Strong have plenty of question marks. Both of them have just as much upside as the top ranked guys. So you build the line, acquire more picks, and yeah if one of those guys is available you take them and see if they’re the next RW.

Good reflection. I keep forgetting where Fitt came from.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
