Would Andrew Norwell be interested in coming back?

I'm almost sure we're looking at C and G in FA. Going LT in draft...or going QB if we get C,G and LT in free agency somehow.

They may consider moving Elfien to fulltime at center but his availability could collapse our whole plan without a decent backup. I think Elfien is their plan at backup. Same exact scenario with Erving at LT.

Drafting some late round C with Elflein the starter is a fine plan. I really think they need to plan on trading down from 6 to pick up mid round picks they’ll desperately need

I think Elf can be released and it would save us some $$ (2.3 million)---not sure it would be worth it--same for Erving.  Erving can play every OL position--and is valuable as a backup, I would think

Erving is about as valuable as a pack of fritos.

Brown is definitely a question mark at this point.  How much of his bench riding was on the coaching staff and how much was on Brown?  Still, players selected on day 3 should be considered developmental, so there is hope that he can play an IOL position.  A lot of it will depend on his conditioning.   OL are not subbed in and out like DL or TEs, so they have to be able to go the distance, as you know.

I think you don't go into a season starting him unless you didn't do a great job building that unit in the offseason, which we probably won't.

The truth is, on a well built team, guys like Christensen and Brown are depth. That's what they should be for us too.

I hate everything about the team rolling with Elflein at center, but it might end up being the best move long term if we're able to pick up a franchise LT with the first round selection.

The free agent market for guards is going to be DEEP this year. Current prospective free agent guards per Spotrac (pls sign Kyle Long).

There are also some potential cap casualties out there. The Bucs can save $10M if they make Ali Marpet a post-6/1 move. The Titans will save $10.5M moving on from Roger Saffold. New England can save over $7M cutting Shaq Mason and the Cardinals $9M with Justin Pugh. Erek Flowers has 0 dead cap attached to him, freeing up $10M for Washington. Gabe Jackson is another potential post-6/1 target. Greg Van Roten and Connor McGovern could also be options if they're cut.

Or just start Deonte Brown, of course.

I would love for them to draft Neal or Cross at LT with the 6th pick, but I see them trading back and getting a 2nd and/or a 3rd. Hopefully still getting a top OL but maybe A QB mid 1st round. Then using picks to draft OL and DL. I think they feel with BC he can play LT or LG and Elflein at C in case they don't get somebody to start day 1.

Depends on FA and who they sign. Since DL takes longer to develop I see a vet there (a space eater/run stopper).

I do not like the idea of Christensen as a G. He doesn't seem to have the power. I could see him learning to play C if he can communicate and learn the protections. Otherwise he is a backup option at LT. I think ELF is our center next year (I hope not). Moton will be back. The other starting positions I think will be filled by players not currents on the roster.
