Off Topic the Panthers posted this

They should read the room and just STFU right now or post something congratulatory to the Rams or something. Not really feeling some bullshit little attempt at humor video after watching a game that we seem very, very far away from actually having a chance to compete in.

Did you say the same of Delhomme when he selfishly tanked the franchise with multiple INT games for two seasons. Not reading the field with shitty mechanics.

Just because Cam could run doesn’t mean he had to prove to anyone he could play the game like an average athlete. He literally carried the offense to 15-1 with scrubs with multiple freaks throws and clutch moments. And sometimes when your 6-5 240 and a sub 4.5, the smart play is run for 5 yards and a first then to trust Devin Funchess to catch the ball.

If you look at way the Rivera the offense and the statistical breakdowns of our play calls, we actually put Cam in very hard positions to succeed and more often than not he made it work. He was excellent in 2017/2018 before his shoulder got crushed.

Yes, that was my opinion of Jake.

Cam improved a lot during his time here and didn’t have the support he needed BUT he was never a great passer outside of ONE good year.

That weakness in his game ultimately held him back.

WTF are you talking about? Are you even reading before posting? @KSpan and I were talking about how not calling a timeout with over a minute remaining was the problem. They then wasted 30+ seconds with a throw away and a run only to have to call a timeout.

Again, we weren’t talking about the 4th down play itself. The offense clearly was rushing and not ready so calling a timeout and getting a sequence of plays ready would have been much smarter. Pretty obvious as it happens all the time. Coaches seem to waste a good chunk of time so they don’t have to burn a timeout only to end up sitting on multiple timeouts and not getting the offense fully prepped for good plays.

They did call a timeout after that third down Perine run.  WTF are you talking about.

Who’s idea was it to post that? Seriously.

The same thing I said the first time. The Bengals should have called the time out after the first down play that worked. They instead let 20 seconds run off and the play was a rushed throwaway. They then called the timeout after the run on 3rd down anyway. Call the timeout earlier, save 20 seconds and you have 3 plays to get the first. You can call multiple plays in the timeout and make sure the offense is ready. Instead they rush and basically get nothing out of two plays and end up out 30 something seconds.

Go away…damn

He literally outgunned Drew Brees in the 2017 playoffs. If Devin Funchess wasn't trash, that's another signature win and playoff run.

He was on his way to eclipsing his 2015 season in 2018 before he was hurt.  And I'm not one to harp super hard on stats because plenty of QB's padded their stats with checkdowns to look better than they actually were (Teddy Bridewater, Drew Candyass Brees) but when Cam was finally given safety valves in 2018, the media was all the sudden crowning his  ass. Does that mean he was actually better or the opportunity for efficiency was there? I think you can make that argument for a lot of players.

Cam could make all the throws  and is the best passer this franchise has ever had. He just played the game like Brett Favre with legs, and that was what was best suited to him. If Matt Ryan had Cam's athleticism then he wouldn't have the stats he has either.

Cam's greatest weakness was Ron Rivera leaning on the RPO to save his own ass when he as about to get fired. We should have kept going where Chud left off. Let Cam sling the ball over the field with his cannon.

Ron learned he could just use Cam to convert 3rd downs and extend the primes of Williams and Stewart by eliminating the match ups in the ground game and serving his ball control offense. We ran the ball on first and second down more than most of the teams in the NFL during Rons tenure. We frequently put Cam in 3rd and long/miracle scenarios. He deserved a better coach.

Believe it or not the huddle doesn't represent all Panthers fans. You guys are crotchety old men that expected a playoff season with Sam Darnold at QB and then come on here every day and bitch about Rhule in every freakin thread. Panthers have plenty of kids/teenage fans

The Super Bowl champs have players older than me. 😂

Part of the reason I'm so pissed off is that I expected exactly what we got with Sam Darnold and I'm baffled why Panthers brass expected something else.

Also... if you think you're reaching kids and teenagers by posting on Facebook then your social media team is as dumb as your football staff

They cross posted that. But what are they supposed to do? They can't exactly be negative on social media.

As for Darnold, they struck out on all the other options and all of us here had that 1% of hope that Darnold just sucked on the Jets. They took a gamble at lost. They'll likely keep gambling until they find that franchise QB (please god not Pickett)

    • Went to school in MD when this came out. Dance floor got CRAZY when this joint came on!
    • They had best show out in Week 1 there are zero,I mean zero,  excuses for that offense  defense, haven’t play together yet and they still have Mr Soft and Predictable as DC  I expect break downs at times  …but that offense returns all starters except Tremble and both Mayes and Brady are veterans and can play LG and know the system not up for any participation awards this season they can save that practice energy for Jacksonville.     I’m sick of the, winning,  or looking competitive, when it doesn’t matter.
    • There are some tough decisions that I'm eager to see the results of... Does Blackshear sneak on to the roster as RB4? Does the team go with 4 TEs or just 3 again? And has Mitchell Evans done enough to defend his roster spot from James Mitchell? Who is WR6 and is there a WR7? TMac, XL, Coker, and AT seem to be locks imo and I'm assuming Renfrow also makes it due to all of the camp praise. Who makes it between Brycen Tremayne, Jimmy Horn Jr, and David Moore? If the team goes with 7 WRs, which one of those three doesn't make it? Jacolby George and Emani Bailey both have not gotten a lot of game time. Could the Panthers be trying to hide them so that they can be stashed on the PS? Do they go with 10 OL instead of 9? Who makes it out of Walton, Carter, and Kingston? DL locks are DB, BB3, ARob, and Turk. That leaves Jaden Crumedy, Cam Jackson, Sam Roberts, Shy Tuttle, and LaBryan Ray all competing for the final 1 - 3 spots. Does DJ Johnson get IR'd and Thomas Incoom make the roster as EDGE5? What in the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck is going to happen at LB? Only locks seem to be Wallace, Rozeboom, and Cherelus (Wallace has mentioned in media how Cherelus has been big bro for him on the team). Rhattigan had some good moments against Houston, Martin-Scott is an SC guy, Krys Barnes has popped on defense and on special teams, and Windmon got time starting for the team last season. Are two of those guys going to make it or are the Panthers poaching from another team's cuts? CB5... who is it? Do they go with the 4 expected safeties or bring in a 5th? Has Ransom done enough to take the start from Nick Scott?
