Fitterer doesn't have the power to overrule him.

Tepper doesn't appear to be inclined.

I know Fitt has literally said that out of his own mouth. (and maybe it's more stupid of ME at this point to believe they'll get it right)

I just don't see any way Tepper, or really any human would say 'hey, you're one of the most hated coaches in franchise history, I'm being ripped to shreds while my billion dollar investment is being ridiculed publicly.....but I'm trusting you again over this fellow with a proven track record'

This scares the poo out me.  Quincy Avery owner of QB Takeover says here Malik has been working with private qb coaches since the 9th grade.   If thats true and his mechanics and judgement are still this bad then holy poo this kid aint making it in the nfl

No thanks. No stats to back up all the talk.

Fhules Gold on "potential" of a 6' guy who isn't Mike Vick or even close.

If he was Mike Vick, yes, but he's not, not at all.

Teams need to stop buying what these agents are selling dummy teams like the bottom feeding Jets who our owner and coach love to emulate with bad decisions, following the hype.

Following the hype brought incompetence in the form of Matt Rhule.

the good news or bad news if you're a fan of willis is that his stock has probably risen enough to put him on detroit's radar. it's starting to become a narrative year after year that the guys who win the combine and convince organizations that they're natural leaders rise up the board really quickly. willis has aced the interviews and his wonderlic was fantastic. i think he'll be gone by 6 because few of the guys projected to go ahead of him have had explosive improvements

the tea leaves seem to be pointing towards pickett, but there's a few reasons i don't think we go that route. if we're truly going in the direction of being a down hill running team, we need a qb that can add to that attack. desmond ridder knocked it out of the park. he's a 4 year starter that is still about 2 years younger than pickett and his efficiency was fantastic. he's a true quarterback. his numbers weren't highly attached to his running ability and that matters. if anything, he was probably too conservative with his legs as a senior trying to prove he could stay in the pocket. he's a big kid and he's a winner. and for those that it matters to, he has 10 inch hands. the book on him prior to the combine was that he was good at most things but not great at many, but the 40 might have changed some minds. he takes his time with reads and will probably need to be introduced to the NFL in parts and pieces, but he will move the ball. he'll be very dangerous in pulling the ball out and flipping it over the middle.

Yep we absolutely want Willis to crush the combine.  Make someone fall in love with him

This might be true but sounds really weird. So Willis is super talented, super smart and humble, works hard but hasn’t been able to improve his mechanics despite a private coach since 9th grade? I haven’t watched him play so I don’t know, but it sounds like miss information season to me.

The dude in podcast lays most of the blame on Libertys coaches.  Definitely weird but thought the 9th grade comment was head scratching as his mechanics are the worst of any of the top prospects

Yeah, that’s the hard part. What can get fixed with great coaching and what can’t? Should be a fun next two months leading up to the dradt.

I'm sorry but you can't take a small QB that can't read defenses and is a one read and throw player. Everyone compares him to Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are going to have to move on from Hurts soon because he has the same issue. Its way too easy to game plan for and it would be impossible to try to win in the playoffs with that type of QB.

Cam was an athletic unicorn that only comes around once in a blue moon, Willis isn't that. To me Willis is like a Geno Smith level player.

Since I don’t know much about him, how do you know he can’t read defenses, and is a one read and throw player? Sounds like teams are blown away with his knowledge and understanding of the game. I remember all the concerns folks had about Herbert, feels similar. But that was all about his coaching in college.
