Where does the "culture" go from here?

I'm going to continue to say this: but everyone is blaming the puppet (Rhule), when you should be blaming the puppeteer (Tepper).  When Rhule is gone, it won't get any better until the real clown Tepper starts caring about this team instead of his stupid soccer team and his Rock Hill facility.   Rhule was obviously a bad choice, but my god, I can't believe the absolute hatred he receives.  Most of you are probably the idiots harassing his family wherever he tries to go anywhere.

Tepper's problem isn't that he doesn't care. Hell, we might be better off if he didn't. The problem is that he DOES care but he's incompetent and clueless as to how to run a football organization.

We have as many guys from Western Michigan as we do Baylor. One of the Temple guys just signed a 3 year, $45 million dollar contract with another team. You are going to bring people in that you are familiar with and who understand your system. I think the idea that he's willing to turn down a better player at a position just so he can bring in someone from a school he once coached is silly.

Tepper deserves most of the blame but fug that used car salesman(Rhule), as well.

I would hope we can also be adults enough to also leave the man(and FOR SURE his family) alone in public. Boo Rhule at the stadium? Have at it. He's getting paid well enough to be able to take it.

Why do we think there is a poor culture? I haven't heard a lot of "anonymous sources" coming out saying bad things about Rhule. I think the problem is we have a really young team, poor quarterback play, and a below average offensive line. That's a good recipe for losing. I feel like we have an owner / front office / coach that are at least trying to address those things. I think you have poor culture when the players don't think the front office is doing everything they can to win.

I know I'm in the minority here but I don't fully understand all of the hate for Rhule and Tepper. Two years ago everyone seemed to understand we were entering a rebuilding phase. Guys we have traded for are mainly young, high upside players.

We played in 8 one possession games last year. We won two of those. Last year we had the fourth youngest team in the league behind the Jets, Lions, and Browns. We lost our best player (who has only played in 10 games in the past two seasons) and have had poor quarterback play (the most important position in sports). They are at least trying to fix what appears to be a large part of the problem.

Regardless of how the Watson potential trade works out, I see an owner who seems to be willing to do whatever it takes to win. I hope we lose this Watson bidding war because I don't think we are just one player away but I also like an owner and GM who are "in on every deal" or at least exploring every deal.

We don't have culture problem, we have a winning problem. That can be fixed with the right player(s). My $0.02

I agree with this part. Tepper is a blowhard but he’s rich with a big ego and wants to win. If he keeps swinging big like with Watson, eventually he’ll connect.

Its simple, you tank for a year then have a cleaner cap sheet, new coach and one of the top 3 quarterbacks

That's why if you take Willis or whatever now, its a wasted pick becuase the top 3 quarterbacks next year are way, way, better and a much higher chance to succeed that anything you take this draft
