No one would care about Jackson State's coach "shaming" NFL teams for not attending his pro day if that coach wasn't an NFL HOFer. I still don't.

Spot on.

Screw Deion🖕.

Get a 😂 out of the "when we arrive" comment...

...he'll bail on that program before they "arrive".

I don't understand the vitriol toward Sanders here. He's stumping for his players and his program. That's what he should be doing as the head coach of Jackson State.

He isn’t an old rich (rich but not on this level) owner of a team. 🤯🤯🤯🧜‍♂️

If there is one player, you don't have to go to the pro day, you can have a private workout when it is convenient.

Very good point.  I have also heard old GMs say they have missed certain pro days on purpose because they were already sold on a guy and wanted to throw off the scent.

There is a reason why franchises like the Steelers have had players like John Stallworth & Donnie Shell, and the Colts with Darius Leonard, Robert Mathis, & Antoine Bethea while we rather reach for players like Armanti Edwards & Will Grier.

Our scouting department can do more.

I love the Antoine Bethea story the way Bill Polian tells it.  He said he was going thru film of prospects when he came across Bethea.  He wasn't sure whether he should look at him as a safety or a corner in Dungy's defense, so he took the film to Dungy.  After seeing the kid play Dungy asked Bill if other people had seen the tape.  Bill said NO, just him and Dungy.  Tony told Bill to draft the kid, and not to discuss it with anyone for fear of the "secret" getting out.

They end up drafting Bethea, with the idea that he will begin his career at safety and as he gains experience he will move to corner.  In one of his first practices at safety he gets 2 picks.  After the second pick Dungy turns to Bill and says "I guess we are leaving him at safety."

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
