Christensen vs The Draft Prospects

What do you believe?

Very few people "in the building" have shown they know how to evaluate OLine talent given the 6-7 seasons -  look at the money wasted and lack of production.  If he is then great, it gives you a perceived flexibility in the draft - not proven - still a big risk.

But even if he is capable he is already a versatile guy who can play other positions - and given how shallow our OLine skills are the best option is probably still to take the best LT available and have an inexpensive, high performing OLine for 3-4 more years.

I guess a better question might be if BC has the ability/trajectory to be an elite LG?  Or will he be a good enough tackle?  If he's looks like he'll be the same value as an OT or OG, then I still think you pick the better OL.

I don't think you can hurt yourself as much if you pick the best LT prospect at 6.  If you WHIFF on a QB.... not only have you missed an elite LT, but you've also screwed up the QB position, again!

I mean, he really didn't look like some stud even if they think he can play LT.  He seems like an alright, serviceable guy.  Long term depth swing lineman, filler LT starter.

I'm all about it this way:

1. Icky Ekwonu/Charles Cross/Evan Neal

2. Trade Down (no lower than 18-20)

3. Garrett Wilson

4. Corral/Willis

    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.

    • I'm more of a Hornets fan than I am a Panthers fan, I've watched a ton of this franchise the last 20 years. I post all day on RealGM. Don't get your hopes up, this is setting us up for a 20 point loss to the Heat and a swift end to the season. Spoelstra has always solved us, the Heat have two bigs that we have no answers for, and Jaquez is a certified Hornets killer that always plays us like he has a grudge on us. The Hornets being a top 10 team all year and a top 5 team the last half of the year and then flat out missing the playoffs is incredibly on brand for this crappy, horrendous franchise. I would love to be proven wrong. But I've suffered enough to know this little scheme the team is pulling. We finished 2 games out of 6th and guaranteed playoffs, and we blew two games to the Pacers and Nets earlier in the season, when they weren't trying to win. It's just who we are, Hornets DNA
