Eagles are primed for a huge run in a weak NFC.

I think they’ll be great this season.  My buddy’s an Eagles fan and said they would sign Bradberry.  He said the Bengals would go to the Super Bowl before last season even started.  He said Nick Foles would win them a championship back in 2012 before he went on that insane 27 touchdown 2 INT run.  He now says he’s feeling the Eagles making at least the NFC Championship.  So I’m not doubting him anymore and I’m putting some money on them this year lol

Yeah I am from PA and most of my family are all Eagles fans.  Howie has made some great moves this off-season to build upon last seasons playoff roster.  They should win the East easily (Cowboys OL will be as bad as ours was last year).

Having grown up an Eagles fan before being a diehard Panther fan I endured a number of pretty bad decades. It is funny to hear folks talk about the Eagles like they could take it all. Before they won the Superbowl a few years back they were one of the franchises that had never won one and had pretty limited success in the post season. Not sure they were not a flash in the pan instead of a yearly contender.

They were in QB purgatory for a long time there. Then hit lightning in a bottle. And if Hurts doesn't improve. They might be right back at it.

I had an uncle who was an Eagles fan before he moved to Mich. He went from the Eagle to the Lions. Fortunately, the LIons had Stafford for a decade. So we had that goin for us.

    • Will be interesting to see how the Caps adjust. They were thoroughly beaten in this game despite it going to OT and they knew it by getting chippy. If they lose game 2 they’re in a hole they might not be able to dig themselves out of. They played old and tired tonight and I think they might get swept.
    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
