I mean the Tyrod thing is pretty weird.  Maybe he is factoring his recent health.  I guess that could make sense. He clearly should be above Sam Darnold based on careers to date.

Tyrod has a winning record as a starter and pretty much better everything statisically.

I think it's just top 40 coming into this season. Who would you take right now if it was based upon expectations for this season. If it was career to date, Brady would be #1 ever year, but was 10th on last year's list. He had Darnold as #19 on the list last year.

Sam Darnold is basically the WR that runs a 4.2 at the combine yet can't really run routes or catch well.  Yet instead of him disappearing quitely out of the league..... they keep putting him back out on the field depsite it being extremely clear he isn't actually good at football at this level.

I mean, there is actually no purpose of Sam Darnold being on our roster at this point.

If it wasn't the fuging fully guaranteed salary, he'd probably be gone. I'm somewhat glad to see Rhule have to eat his roster spot though. Put your Matt Stafford clone out there again, you fuging clown.

Well 3 starters listed, SEA and HOU won’t have another. So wonder, is it Corral, Willis, or maybe another backup that’s getting the extra slot left?

Jimmy G and Baker are likely two of them, maybe the Golden Calf of BYU as the third.

Just having guys that haven't played many--or any--snaps as a pro on this list kinda just takes away from its credibility for me. I mean, I know that within this context they kind of have to be included, but maybe that just means the whole list is a contrived waste of time.

I doubt he ranks Corral at all. Pickett is ranked only because he is the likely starter from day 1.  Hell, we could be starting Baker Mayfield on day 1 for all we know. Don't forget there was a lot of Darnold hype through three games last year. I remember Rich Eisen tearing the Jets a new one for failing Darnold and then watching him do well at Carolina. Turned out to be wrong in the long run, but we had a nice little start.

He ranked Corrall above Pickett, Willis and Ridder in the NFL draft so I am guessing he will be on the list above them here

No he’s not.

If Minshew isn’t better than Sam Darnold….then what measurement would someone use to make the case for Sam.

statistically across the board Minshew is better and he did it with Jags.

It’s not about what you’ve done but what you’re going to be. By your logic Justin Herbert should have been excluded from top 40 even though he was a top 10 pick and ultimately balled out as a rookie

He also said in a tweet that Minshew doesn't even have Teddy's arm, which seems like a stretch and even if true it doesn't matter if they guy is afraid to launch the ball.
