“It might happen today”

”if not today then by the end of the week”

“If not by the end of the week watch for the end of the month”

End of *next month.

But point still stands. This might be the most click bait thread of all time. And Zod is laughing at every single person posting in here, including me.

They know it's Rhule pushing for this but the internal conflict is off the charts. Can't criticize Matt Rhule 🤫

It came out that that wasnt the case just a few days.  More of that confirmation bias.  You hate Rhule so it's obviously him that wants to make the move that you dont like.

You do realize that the emoji means sarcasm?

Still, notwithstanding the higher-ups not pulling the plug (which could very much be customary in the NFL), at the end of the day, Baker can't blame anyone but himself.

Yes. Hence the reply.

I mean, it's fun to say that but thr coschbis responsible for who plays. If you are hurting the team because of health, the plug needs to be pulled.

Cam's situation was insanely obvious to everyone. EVERYONE. Yet no change was made. At best Ron offered up, "Well he said he was okay." So does that mean you don't have to use your brain or eyes anymore?

Same with Baker. if he is struggling that badly with an injury, why do you allow him to drag the team down?

The only thing we know are unfounded rumors nobody knows who is truly pulling the strings still we only assume Rhule has ceded some authority to Fitterer. But no I do not hate Rhule as much as you want to pigeonhole that narrative because you and your pal can't handle differing views.

Yeah, we don't actually know what the situation is. Perhaps Rhule lost some power or perhaps not.

I really feel like people need to be reminded that Corrall is a 3rd round rookie from an RPO, 1 read offense if I remember correctly.  He probably won't be ready to start, so if we can get Baker cheap why not? Is he worse then Darnold? The same? Slightly better? As long as its cheap we aren't any WORSE off so. He at least has some grit unlike Darnold.

Most importantly for the sake of starting in the NFL he's from the SEC and he put up some impressive numbers.

The next logical step for a successful SEC QB is to be drafted and start or compete to start immediately. That's what Matt is doing.

This draft was scuttlebutt courtesy of the media and their Pickett/Willis decoy for stupid teams. Corral was QB1 coming into last season.

If he was rated the top college QB coming out, how could you NOT put that talent ahead of statistically the worst QB in the NFL?

You can't. They need to put some sugar on Matt Corrals contract and LET'S GO.

Even then how does this improve your team long term?  What exactly does this do in regards to building your team?

You go from an unplayable quarterback to a league average one. Ideally, he can be a formidable bridge QB ala Alex Smith who’s good enough to allow you to be decently competitive while you wait to make a move and pounce for a legitimate franchise guy.

There was article simply saying he was warming to the idea of having to play Sam.  Something that got pushed into the media as they are still clearly negotiating w/ Cleveland.

Who wants Baker and who doesn't then?  Because all the reporting says it is a divide house at the top.   It only makes sense it's Rhule that wants Baker (Baker increases the odds to win in 2022).....and Rhule's job is the most depedent on wins in 2022 vs Fitt.

    • It's been many a year since we were in December talking about how games mattered for something other than draft order. This crazy, mixed up, unpredictable, maddening, uplifting and teeth gnashing season has certainly not been boring.
    • If you look at Brown and Horn's contracts, expect to pay above what he is likely actually worth. This is the Panthers suckage tax. Ultimately, much like Derrick Brown, he has steadily improved over time and that's what you want out of your young first round draft picks. He was one of the biggest and most important question marks coming into the season and he has answered it conclusively. He is "the guy" at LT. Great news, one less position of extreme importance to have to attempt to remedy.
    • This is maddening because, well, it's so up and down. When the kid's on, he can be great. When he's mediocre, we can still win based on a strong running game and good defense. When he's bad, and over his history he's this more than not, then it's a sad show that no one could win with. How can anyone know what is going to happen right now? Really. It's like picking one flake in a snow globe and shaking it once a week... there is no telling where it will end up. Things I did see on Sunday from Bryce: his teammates love him; he can make the big throws with good protection and good effort from his receivers. He isn't afraid to run. He can rise up against the best in competition (but he can also sink to the level of bad competition).  All I can say is if Canales goes with an aggressive game plan for Bryce that leans on a hot-hand running game, the team can beat anyone. If there's any wishy-washy play calling, then Bryce melts and couldn't beat anyone.  Maybe the person Bryce needs to win over more than anyone is Canales.
